Removed the ostrich and ecm and went back to stock. Took her for a spin and seems to be running better. Will know more when i hit the interstate on the way to work this morning.

Wasn't able to test much in morning traffic, but initial results are she's running much mo' betta. At 70mph doesn't feel like I am towing another Typhoon behind it.

I properly mounted the drivers side cladding. It was kinda just hanging in place before. Just about finished the rear bumper cover, license plate lamps, etc.. I'm going to install my battery cut-off switch while I'm working back there then properly mount the pass side cladding. After that I'll finally be able to take it for an inspection..

Oh, I also have my shortblock at the machine shop. Going with a 383 stroker roller 4-bolt. All forged internals and coated pistons. That should take things to a whole new level once I get that installed and tuned..

Put some time in on the truck instead of working on the basement.
Still trying to eliminate the 1/2+ throttle shudder. Replaced TPS, IAC, and broken lower temp sensor. Changed the MSD coil for a stock one. Also took off the heat wrap off the intake tube and polished it to help heat soak.
Need to work on a front intercooler scoop and see if I can change out the 2 piece with carrier bearing driveline for a 1 piece, then drive it. :D

Was warm last 10 days, then got cooler last 3. Starting to warm back up today. I'm liking the early warm season though.

Decided since it was fairly nice out, I'd get the truck off the dollies, push it outside and wipe off the winter dust. No sooner than I did that, birds shit on it while I was taking these pictures. Wiped shit off of it, and pushed it back inside for it to sit some more.

Replaced the serpentine belt, idler and tensioner assembly with some new AC Delco parts yesterday evening.

Weather here this week is downright "San Diego" so I drove the Sy to work today.

Time and money is the hold up. After I took it to Nats in 2013, I decided I didn't like the carpet, so I gutted the interior again. That was right after I started a new job. Which took up a lot of my time. Winter came, too cold to work on it. Spring came around, left that job. Took the summer off. Should have worked on it then, but ended up spending a lot of time with my son while we both had the summer off. Started a job at another dealer. Great place to work, but shitty hours, and low pay. Then bought a much bigger house, which took away all the cash we had. Then took a lot more $ to heat the house than we were expecting (well over $700/mon for elec and propane). Then bunch of medical bills, couldn't get my old house rented, so I was paying 2 mortgages, plus trying to pay off close to $8k in medical bills, and a crazy heat bill, never had any money. Put the old house up for sale, sold it in 2 weeks, we close next week, and I can finally pay the $27k in taxes we owe for 2014. Won't have much left over after that. Wife needs a new car, so that's a 2nd car payment we'll have coming up by the end of the year. It's just 1 thing after another. Most of what's left is electrical, which I hate electrical, and I'm not good at it. So at least this summer, since I have a ton more room to work on it, I'll start doing the little things that are cheap, and get the interior back together, then slowly work on the other things. I figure I'm probably a good $10-15k away from finishing it. I'm at a new dealership now, 3.1 miles from home, working 70/hrs a week. Hopefully once my guys get their shit together, I can work less hours, and have some weekends off and can get shit done. Lately, I've been doing taxes, and now getting little shit done at the old house trying to get rid of it, and around here.

If you're ever in the area and want to stop by, let me know.

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

Thought about some discussions here about air scoops for lower intercoolers and just a 'scoop' on the front doesn't capture air currents very well. A lower plate design to create a low/high pressure to get the air to flow through the intercooler face was discussed. So I've tried to build something that hopefully works better than a 'scoop'. Still have some tweaking because after fitting it 4 times before paint, somehow the paint has changed the hole alignments:roll:
Have to work tomorrow and I'm the family chauffeur for A big city foot race (Bloomsday. 7k run, 50k runners.) on Sunday so hoping for results on this sometime next week.
