What to do.

Well I recently got my insurance dropped amazingly low on the Ty since it is not running. I have to keep insurance on is since I have a loan out on it. I have also recently got promoted and am making a good amount more money a month along with the bases really cheap storage and bays to work on my truck. ($25 a month for storage and $3 on days im gonna work on it) My question is should I just get my truck running again by rebuilding the tranny or should I leave it in the shop and take advantage of this deal for the last year and a half Im in the Marines and aim for low 12's high 11's?

Hah, I cant wait to get out. I have a year and a half left, then Im gone. I have dealt with the bull shit politics long enough. I love what I stand for and parts of what I do but the politics is too much, and there is too much money out there for me to be making barely enough to get by. I am a 0651 (Small Computers System Specialist) I will not go into what I do but that is my job. I am stationed in 29 Palms California.

Brother it is peeps like you that make this country great...you already know what to do from what you've said...do your duty and then say hey and we'll help you out, in fact ask for some of us that have responded to you and we'll hook you up...where are you going to be once you are done serving your time? Thanks a lot man. Everyone on this board has been nothing but a huge help to me when I need it. Syntax drove an hour out of his way to make sure I could get my truck started again and if not he was ready to take me to the airport so I didnt miss my flight. Sean Morris was nice enough to look over my truck after I got it and put it on DM. I will be going back to philly, and a few months after that my roomate will be in philly. He will be getting a 93 Ty from his friend this summer. I definatly want my truck running before I get back but I gotta build a transmission which we all know isnt cheap. I also have to do some front suspension work. Nothing big just a PST kit and shocks. The truck is pulling to the right and the right side is bottoming out sometimes. I figure while im doing that Ill grab a Moog idler arm. Then Ill start working on the things all ty's should have. I have only had the truck for 4 months now and for two of them it has been broken.

No problem that's what most of us are here for....Sean is definitely an OG and great person to know he knows stuff from experience...sounds like you're heading in the right direction...since you live in CA talk to Mike Lee at ARAutosports about gettting a nice trans built up he will help you tell him I sent you ;-) Peace brother....
