Whats your coolant temp?

I have a 180 stat, and threw a new extreme duty fan clutch in it. Without air the ty runs about 195, with air it creeps up to around 210. I have a new autometer temp gauge so I'm not relying on the stock gauge. Just wanna see where you guys are running.

160 stat, max about 180. Doesn't get really hot here, maybe 90* in the summer.

I have 160 and I see temps around 167-171 on average. according to my laptop.

I would guess your fan clutch is dying, it shouldn't be upto 210 degree.

yeah, it seems like the fan is not doing its job properly to me. Or you may have an air bubble in your system, figuring since you replaced the radiator and such, try drilling 1/8 inch holes in your thermostat. (the silver part) HTH

Did you get this resolved? Having exact same issue with a Syclone. OK at idle but 210 at cruise. Same after replacing the thermostat from a 195 to a 160.

Have your radiator checked...mine had crap jammed in it and after replacement the temp stays below 160 even in traffic.

With a 160 stat it does fairly well. However on a 90* day at the track (for example last week) it will be 180 at the end of a 1/4 mile run. Just can't cool all that horsepower. :rotf: Prolly do a water pump and flush the rad this winter.

My temps on the Autometer read about 200-210* driving normal on a 90* day. Funny thing is, crack open datamaster or tuner pro and the CTS reads a cool 166-172*. My trans temp gauge(autometer also) is about 30* off as well.

Edelbrock high flow water pump. Best upgrade to cooling system after a thermostat is installed.
