wheel requirements

i have been thinking for a while about getting a set of aftermarket wheels for the typhoon this summer. i am well aware that corvette and camaro wheels fit beautifully, but they are just not my style - i want something nice, but different. there are more than enough syclones and typhoons with vette and camaro rims to go around.

what i am really aiming for is a set of 18" wheels. obviously for track the stockers would go back on (unless the aftermarkets were light enough), so these are more a cruise/show type application, though 50 pound rims are obviously out of the question! almost definitely i want something that i can powercoat the spokes and center gloss black, and have the lip either polished or chrome (a la the c4 grand sport rims).

spoke style is open, so i ask that if any of you have links to nice 18" rims that will bolt right onto the truck to please post. in addition, i will be scouting on my own, so i'd love for someone to post any wheel requirements i might need. obviously both wheels will be 18", but lug pattern? offset? max width front and rear? and so on and so forth.

so, if anyone can think of some nice wheels in 18" that would work with the above description, let me know!

p.s. by no means do the wheels have to be already done like the grandsports or gnx rims, i am just saying that i will probably be having this done to them anyways. thanks!

Truckless. For now.
not sure of any specs, but I know the wheel's on miguel's Ty are 18"s.

might pm him and see if he needed spacers or whatnot. I too have been looking for "other" wheel options than the Vette/Maro rims. This should be an interesting topic.

-U can check out my 18s. I've got AZEVs 8,5" in front with GOODYEAR F1 265/35/18 and 10" in rear equipped with the same tires as in front.
I'm considering swapping the front tires to 225/40/18 but we'll see...

I'd look into some Fikse's as well - they make many nice wheels that look *great* on GM's. Tell 'em you want something that is a replacement size for a ZR1 wheel, but like in an 18" size... my guess is that they should be able to help you.
