When does the stock fuel system run out?

Just wondering at what point HP wise, the stock fuel lines, AFPR and rails need to be upgraded? Already running a Walbro 255 and trying to decide if modding the tank internally and stock lines, reg. and rails will handle 650 HP or will I have to sump the tank and run braided lines with new rails & reg. Not looking for the bling factor here and of course don't want to if I don't have to.

I have stock lines/fuel rail with no issues at all so I would say they will definitely support 650HP.

To add to that, at what point do the stock injectors stop working so well? I am using 45psi static, and it seems like I'm running out of fuel on top end with stock inj. using the walbro and AFPR.???

At 24 psi it put down 650hp and 750ft/lbs of torque - which was before the better flowing heads and larger turbo went on. Like I said, I really don't think you will have any problems unless you are gunning to run with the Hoover's.

As to what I can tell around 320 hp. But all injectors are not equal unless matched and yours sound orig. or old and may not be flowing or functioning 100%. NEVER TRY TO GUESS YOUR AFR! Get a wide band 02 and BE SURE.

Keep in mind I am not saying that a single Walbro 255 will keep up with 600+ HP nor am I saying that putting a sump in the stock tank isn't a good idea. I have dual in-tank pumps with the second pump set to come on around 10psi. If you are going for a large build you may find that you would prefer to sump the tank to reduce/eliminate the fuel slosh problem and run an external pump. I have to keep at least 3/4 tank of gas in my truck to keep it from falling on its face off the line during a hard launch. You may also choose to increase the size of the fuel lines/rails. My point is that you don't need larger diamter fuel lines or billet fuel rails to run more HP than most people here have.

I dont think anybody makes this any more. ATR made the twin pump set up.

Dual in-tank pumps ins't rocket science specific to ATR. If you are making this kind of HP you could probably figure out how to put two pumps in the tank if you really want to go that route :roll: .
