Apologies to all.... like he says, here we go again and this is gonna be long / several posts because I want this to be CRYSTAL since it is his choice to deal in public and attempt to smear me and make me out to be the bad guy.

Grant,

Did you actually read the PM I sent to you? If not allow me to bring it to your attention
here along with your once again, crappy reply:

James Thomas said:
Ok Grant, I got info from P.T.E., R.P.M., Waller Performance,
and others. After seeing the pictures of the turbine wheel / housing & the compressor wheel / housing damage, I have been told by all that cartridge replacement is required if not best.

This is not a $300-400 rebuild like you thought it would be. It's a $700 plus shipping replacement.

On the exhaust, the hangers are all hacked off, the tail pipe section is pieced and the about the only good part is the muffler. You did not tell me anything about the bungs being hacked out (in two places) leaving huge holes, that the D/P was hacked and had regular pipe pieced to it or the all the hangers were hacked off.

I what you described is not what I got / paid for. Go back and look at your e-mails and PM descriptions and tell me if I am incorrect. I have my copies of all the e' and PM's and don't see that info anywhere?

On the turbo, maybe you don't know a lot about the levels of damage or repair, so maybe that's not your fault but your turbo is not worn, it's damaged bad. For another $175 I can get a new unit with a one year warranty, not even close to trying to mess with piecing this one back together.

So I really can't do anything with these pieces you sent, the thing to do at this point is pay pal me $90 and I will return ship both boxes to you with ACTUAL TRACKING for the shipping. I will eat the $90 I paid you for Priority Mail (instead of the standard/surface "and cheaper I might add" regular mail) and chalk it up to an "uninformed seller description". By the way, I would suggest that the next time you want to sell used parts on this or the other boards that you give an accurate description of the condition.

James

Grant,

I have PM'd you to attempt to keep this back out of the drama section ... again, but I guess that's not gonna happen, so.... lets recap shall we.

First off I have every e-mail and PM you have sent. I will post ALL OF THEM if required along with the below photos of the "parts" you sent if I have too to make my point here and prove that I'm not a bad guy on this, should that be required. From the very first one telling me that it was a good turbo that just needs to be "rebuilt" to the sorry I've been out hunting for weeks and couldn't reply stuff when I was trying to contact you months ago with no return replies from you.

Please read the above PM copy. THIS TURBO NEEDS A COMPLETE CENTER SECTION REPLACEMENT... NOT A REBUILD AS YOU CLAIM. So you sold me a scrap turbo...... period. Now why in the world would I want to spend $700 plus shipping for a replacement cartridge / center section when a new turbo with a 1 yr. warranty has been quoted to me for $800 - 900 by several of our vendors? Bottom line, the turbo was run till the comp. & turbine wheels both ground into the housing's and was dumping oil like the EXXON Valdeze, look at the pic’s! Call any turbo shop and ask if a compressor wheel, turbine shaft / wheel and center section are considered a "rebuild"? in the PM I STILL tried to cut you some slack by saying "maybe you don't know a lot about the levels of damage or repair, so maybe that's not your fault". I think that pretty much covers that, I will post pic’s of the damage when I get home.

The cat back and flange is hacked all to hell and back. The hangers are hacked off, the flange is pieced together and has too BIG HOLES blown in it from cutting torch removal of the bungs that were there etc. etc., never mind the cat replacement part (pieces). When I talked to you on the phone and you told me it was a "good ATR Stainless cat back" I took your word and the one pic you sent of the muffler. I now see why you didn't send pics of any of the rest of it. I asked you if it would be ready to bolt on with just re-welding the sections and you said "yea". I made it very clear to you that I have no access to stainless or a mandrel bender here and to please make nice even indexed cuts so I can just weld it. You even went on about how your family owns a exhaust shop and that it would be "right". Where was the "oh, by the way you need to buy stainless hanger material and rebuild all the hangers, the front section is pieced and hacked etc."? NOT A WORD from you on that at all.
Again, pics to follow.

Shipping I asked for, paid extra for and again asked for in writing USPS PRIORIY MAIL INSURED. You (or who ever you sent to do it) shipped both boxes via STANDARD GROUND / PARCEL POST. This cheaper service (even though I paid you more) and your lack of communication (for months) as the seller caused all of the drama in the first post because I had to chase you for months (literally), too find out what was going on.

In all of the other threads ( http://www.syty.net/forums//showthread.php?t=54429
http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=52309 ) I, several other members and the board in general have suffered your racial and snide comments, your mouthy come backs and your just general bad attitude. Well I am completely and totally sick of it. I asked several of the fella’s to tone it down until we got this figured out and not pass judgment too fast, and never said a bad word too you or about you even though you keep referring to comments about “lying” etc. but I think it's pretty clear now, so I'm going to say it straight up in public and to your face, errr post. You are a first class SnapOn quality TOOL! You lied to me and cheated me on the shipping and misrepresented the scrap you sold me (I said pieces above because I was still trying to be nice, that's out the window now).

I tell you in writing that I will return your junk parts to you and I will eat the $90 I paid, all you need to do is pay the return shipping and I will be happy to return your “parts”..... you then post "wheres my money now james thomas" and ask for $300 and an apology?????

I don't want an apology, after all the drama you have caused, delayed me and the associated BS.... I'm so damned mad right now I could go absolutely stupid medieval on yer ass.

ONE MORE TIME. PAY WHAT I PAYED YOU FOR SHIPPING AND I WILL VERY VERY GLADLY RETURN YOUR SCRAP PARTS TO YOU ASAP, NO APOLOGY REQUIRED OR EXPECTED AND I WILL ACTUALLY DO IT RIGHT AND HONEST, WHICH YOU DID NOT! I WILL NOT WASTE ANY MORE TIME ON YOU AND DAMNED SURE WON'T SPEND ANOTHER RED PENNY ON YOU, I’M OUT $90 AND MONTHS AT THIS POINT. I HAVE WAY TOO MANY DOOR STOPS AND TROT LINE WEIGHTS AS IT IS NOW, I DON’T NEED MORE.

Considering that you lied, mis-shipped / charged / cheated me for the shipping in the first place, cost me the $90 I sent for said shipping when I would have declined to purchase this scrap at all had the description been correct / honest and the fact that you sat on my $300 for months refusing to do anything but run your mouth, I just don't trust you at all, sorry how could I? You make statements like "well here we go now you have the parts and the money so im wondering if i can get paid now" when I have told you in writing that I do not accept what you have sent and will be happy to return it... just pay the return shipping. That is not unfair or unreasonable at all under the circumstances you have created.

Piss me off or act stupid just a tad bit more and then you WILL see unreasonable for sure. How does mail fraud sound? Like I said, first class grade A TOOL and a waste of months of my time. So I have a cat back that has more hacks and screen doors than a Russian nuclear sub and turbo that needs replacement, not rebuilt (maybe the cat back and turbo can both fight it out for "boat anchor of the year" ).

AS you appear to be a shinning example of what not to do / be as a seller, instead of an apology I will happily nominate you for the DOGHOUSE at this time though!

This kind of thing is what happens on E-gay a lot and we would all like to think that it wouldn't here .... but. Please reserve your comments till I get home later and have a chance post the pics of the "parts" I finally received after months of BS

To the admin's: Again my apologies because this kind of crap makes the board look bad in general. I did use a couple "bad" words but didn't call any names other than TOOL. Feel free to edit / respond as required but please let me post the pics in several hours before you lock or delete. Please  ?

Oh, by the way I forgot to mention that my PM to him where I explained the situation and offered to return his "parts" included in the above reply post was sent on 2/9/08.
Did he reply to me? NO he just wants to make this "public" for some reason instead of pay the return shipping and be fair / done with HIS "f uped transaction" as he put's it.

Re: wheres my money now james thomas

I think these pics pretty much speak / say it all. This is what I fought and begged and pleaded for months to get. Just not worth the trouble and effort, little less $390

Used to be an ATR... now just pieces with hacked off hangers

That's a regular Popsicle stick, a little more than 3/16 thick. Notice the tip of the blades line up perfectly with the grind mark on the housing

A close up of the area where the compressor wheel has ground the housing all the way around

Again same Popsicle stick on the turbine side and this is not a "slip" fit like the compressor side, it's actually a loose fit

This used to be a PTE D/P.... but hey it was "free" even though I didn't need it

Re: wheres my money now james thomas

def. if there is turbine markings on the housing, u have problems, i would guess. im not a turbo inspector or anything, but i dont know if you could just get a rebuild with the housing like that?? if not thats a junk turbo. i hope that makes sence.

the exhuast piping....well i would of threw that into the trash. that looks like crap to me. i hope this come out ok thouhg, but its looks like it might not

Priority Mail or standard mail?

Hmmm.... not sure :dunno: , let's keep looking.

 I guess not! Says right there in the little check box (SURFACE / NON PRIORITY) :banghead:

Whats left of the turbine wheel. There's a good 1/8" ground off all the blades :shocked!:

The inside of the turbine housing where the wheel ground it out and full of wet oil burn :bad-word:

Gee, during all the excitment and drama.... I forgot what it was I was supposed to pay for.
Oh that's right a "rebuildable turbo" and a "good ATR exhaust". Well send them too me and I'll pay for them. You must have mixed up the boxes and sent my stuff to somebody else cause...... these aint them!

Oh and the apology (he, yea right), how about this for starters :bigfinger
Now Grant, in case you missed the PM I sent you and the reprint above, I will return your parts no problem no argument, just pay the actual (correct & honest I might add) shipping cost and they are on the way PDQ

I wouldn't pay $50 for that crap shipped. That turbo is wrecked, and that exhaust's proper place is a scrap bin (or maybe a nice ricey honda).

Well I wanted the exhaust and would have (still will pay a fair price) for a good used one, the "rebuildable turbo" was a slight bonus (if it really was rebuildable as touted) but I have been more than paitent. WAY BEYOND paitent, I have given every benefit beyond the shadow of a doubt and for that I have been bad mouthed to no end. Not only because I wanted it but because it's another member  . If this was a E-bay deal it would have been 3 weeks, two e-mails, one phone call then charge back / criminal charges  . I may not have any class but very very few can honestly say I'm not fair and no one can honestly say I'm dishonest. Look at my E-bay feed back, feed back here and on other boards or ask any one that knows me and or has done business with me.... online or at my brick & mortar business's.

I want to trust everey one, specially the members but I now have to go back to "business as usual" for people I have not done business with before. That stuff is next to junk, maybe someday you can borrow a bend form teh exhuast or a bolt from teh turbo :) The price paid $300 plus shipping expense for an exhaust and turbo is dirt cheap if it was as described. It should raised some flags, since IMO it was too cheap. IMO you should have been an 'e-bay hard ass' in terms asking for more picture or asking question.

Yep, as bad as I hate too.... I must agree.
