My only mods are rebuilt motor with forged pistons,an atr cat back,fp reg,walbro 340,jabsco pump with 3/4 heater hose.I'm looking to get a little more out of it.I have a set of 43# inj if needed but my stock ones are brand new.Do I go with a pit bull street chip and how fast can I expect to run? How # of boost will it give me?Do I go with an ultimate chip?What inj.? I dont want to buy another set of inj.

I currently have a Pit Bull chip in my truck. For some strange reason, I am running 18# of boost. I had the Ultimate in but for some reason it wasn't compatable. It's a long story. My truck pulls really hard with the Pit Bull. You will need a 3 bar MAP sensor to go with the Ultimate. Somebody correct me if I am wrong but, I think it only work on stock injectors. I believe Brian Green is making the Ultimate in a 50# injector program but I do not think it is currently available. I am currently selling my Ultimate. Someone is already lined up for it but I will let you know if the deal falls through.

running 18 psi of boost with a pitbull is begging for a rebuild!!!! The pitbull is a 2bar chip that can only read 14.7 psi of boost. Running 18 and your computer only fueling for 14 is real bad.
Go with the ultimate! ya is very expensive and ya you have to run a 3bar map sensor, but my truck has never ran so good!(i have used a pitbull) It is the most versatile, being able to read up to like 30 psi of boost and adjusting the fuel accordingly.

As wierd as it sounds it's true. I have a lot of fuel pressure and very little knock. For some reason or another, I can run that high. It has the 2 bar MAP sensor and the Pit Bull. No boost control valve. It doesn't over boost either. I had it worked on at Rockford Racecraft and we ran my truck with a scan tool and it only reads 15 psi on the scan tool(Scan tool can only read to 15psi on a 2 bar). I have a new boost gauge and it reads 18 psi. How wierd is that??? I wish I could use the Ultimate but it's not compatable with my Saudi.

the factory boost gauge is the most worthless thing on these trucks besides the low turbo coolant light. that thing is so badly calibrated it needs to be thrown out. get yourself a real gauge and you'll know what I'm talking about. but who gives a flip...if your running 18psi and your FP is cranked up to compensate for it then more power to you....I hope you know if it's running rich or lean...and dont even think of using the factory O2 sensor as an indication.
My truck has an AutoMeter boost gauge as well as a trans temp and a oil temp. It is brand new from a guy at AutoMeter. He was there for the install. It is all hooked up and is fine. I have a Saudi Syclone so the stock gauge cluster is different.n It doesn't have a boost gauge or low turbo coolant light. I really appreciate the advise guys but I think Rockford Racecraft knows what they are doing

Guy knows what he's doing but you need to go with an ultimate so you can better tune for the higher boost. I know you can just run the FP up to compensate for the higher boost but do it right...so you can run more than 18..and boost control doesnt hurt either when calibrated for the higher levels...BTW the ultimate is supposed to be used with a stock chip....my buddy mike tried this and it didn't work for him either.
Thanks for nothing guys.All I see is two guys bickering about boost gauges but still no answers,and my motor is already rebuilt.So do I go with an ultimate with stock inj. or do they make an ultimate for 43# inj.?
