Re: Who has Alkycontrol? (Enter)
Here is what Don Julio had to say about it. This is for future alkycontrol users.
Two things come to mind. One is the pump has a check valve and a valve. If any of thosehas an issue the liquid will drain back through the pump. In other words liquid should not flow backwards through the pump. I have seen trash get into the check valve cuasing it not to seat.
Then voltage. If your seeing at least 3.5-4.0 volts. It should prime up fast unless system is dry.
Understand the test button only send a small voltage as it simulates the system activating under boost. Not the pressure seen at 30 PSI boost.
So.. confirm voltage applied to pump. If that is correct, then its time to look at the pump. In other words if you have the Initial turned down and it applies 2.5 volts to the motor.. then the motor will be slow to respond. So the voltage check across the red/c\black pump wires is the first thing. If it is low.. turn up the Initia. And retry.
