Why take a chance? I would just accumulate another set of rims whether they be 17's or 18's wheels and avoid the headache all in all.:2cents:....I've ran the different size wheels...sure it can look cool...but at what price? Not worth it I bought two sets of corvette wheels and made a set of 17's out of wagon wheels. I run a p275/40r17 now and like that I can rotate them. Plus the tires were like $600 for all 4 vs. $1000 for the "COOL" looking wheels.:tup:

for what its worth 245/45r18 on the front with 325/30r19 on the back will give you the exact same sized 26.7" tire front and rear just different widths. you'd have 9ish wide on the front and 12.5ish on the back. get the same brand and tread tire for both sizes and you should be spot on for rotational difference.

Atkonkler, Thanks for the input, and you are correct. The same size all the way around would be the better way to go. I was asking because I found a set of wheels with tire online. I did not want to buy new tires if I did not have to.

YES. But... I would have to add 1" of rim to make your tire combo work. the combo I was talking about a 17" front, 18" rear.

The rear would give a smaller diameter and the difference in Revs per mile would be greater and cause damage.

I checked it with the tire calculator. I would NOT RUN THAT SET.
Use this post to help you figure the correct wheel/tire.

Here is a wheel tire calculator or you can go to the website you bought your tires from. The manufacturer should have a Revolution Per mile with each tire. Make sure They are the same revs per mile.

In order to keep overall diameters the same, the rear tire is going to have a significantly smaller sidewall than the front, and it will look strange. Keep to the same diameter rim all the way around, and if you want the staggered look, go with proven sizes. For 17" that's 275/40R17 fronts and 315/35R17 rears!
