Re: WTB vin z block

A member on here saw my post and says he has what he thinks is a syclone block. He has it tucked away. So it could be a week, could be a month before the block cast # I relayed him is seen and checked. At that point its a 50/50 chance it is or isn't.

Hoping to score a true syclone/typhoon block. Did get a pm or 2 but on complete setup's. I'm looking for block only. Some suggested a yard.. I figure my best bet is to try here first.

No difference to the block, guessing a Z block to go with the truck just in case the next owner gets picky?

Re: WTB vin z block

Although I have never looked further into it, or checked part numbers, I do remember reading somewhere that SyTy blocks had upgraded nodular iron main caps. Maybe someone can confirm this is correct or if it is just another of those urban myths. It would make sense, but so would a lot of things on these tucks.

Let's try to keep it simple. I'm looking for 10066061 casting. If you have something that fits the bill then I'm game.

Not looking for a balance shaft engine, bowtie block or anything else. Thanks.

Re: WTB vin z block

Just get a matching year 4.3 block from a local yard or machine shop, put four bolt caps on it and be done with it.

I honestly don't have time to doink around in a yard right now. That's why I been asking here..

I have a few offers that came in but my schedule is corked. I'm looking for something already pulled apart and broken down.

The block I have has zero miles and has never had a rotating assembly in it. 👍
