it's really to bad that not ONE person at the dealers the sy and red/red ty went to didn't recognize them and say HOLD UP A MINUTE don't be an idiot, along with the above mentioned 93 cobra.

you damn well know that in shit condition both those trucks woulda pulled nearly 4500 cash in quick order

Most car salesmen don't know jack aboot cars, they just know aboot selling.

Your making some assumptions here. As Dobrick said we are on the case trying to save it.

i know you guys are really trying to save what you can, and i commend that, unfortunately the engine and possibly trans are already toast due to the stuff they dump in to the cars to destroy the engine.

so unfortunately i am betting they already did toast the engine but if the roller could at least be saved it's better than nothing.

i hope you guys can come to some agreement with the dealer, good luck

The sales manager is trying to save it. If the paperwork hasn't been filed yet, should be not a problem. Here's his latest update:

I am trying to save the Syclone at this time, the paperwork on the GT Mustangs was to far gone and the red one was very nice car. We have started to get checks in and the paperwork flow is much better that in the beginning. Like anything new it takes some time to get it right. Keep in mind this flow of cars will stop very soon due to people that want to buy but cannot get financed as well as the shrinking dealer inventory. If you order a demostic car customer a new car it will take as long as 4 to 8 weeks in normal times but we are not in normal times so it should take alot longer. I see loaded haulers taking cars and trucks out of the storage area daily now and man its sad, the good news it will make the ones that survive worth more just as the cars we collect today have.

At this point, just find out who traded it in. We need a phone number to spam/bomb for a year or two.

Address? Email? Sign up for all the gay porn updates you can find, and send them that way.

The license plate on the Jetta in the background of the first pic looks like a Washington state plate to me.

Sure as hell does.

No clue where in WA that might have been though.

 That pisses me of to no end.

The thing has to be crushed and the engine has to be locked up I would rather se a part out than that what a piece of shit :fist:

In the CFC program, it can be parted out, they go to the yard and don't have to be destroyed for 6 months

Thats exactly it. These salesmen know nothing. They think it's a hoopedied jimmy or p-up and figure ah f' it. Till someone who know anything see's it, it is too late. WTF. My wife said 2 weeks ago "watch there will be a few traded in on the cfc and will get crushed." Boy did she call that. She was so pissed when I read this cause she wants a Sy so bad. We would take one in boxes and put it back together just to have one.

Re: Cash for Clunkers Sy

I was thinking of taking my sy and ty to trade in the cfc program because nobody here would give me chit for them even when I offered to sell them for 12000 for a package deal . and my sy only has 83000 miles on it...U guys talk big till it comes time to buy something!!

I couldn't agree with this anymore! I see this all the time, anyone who tries to sell a truck get nickled and dimed and abused for what they're asking. Every SY/TY that sells on ebay or craigslist "the buyer got ripped off". I'm not a fan CFC-ing one of these trucks or parting one out but the harassment one gets for trying to sell one on here is not worth it. Everyone who has one thinks theirs is gold, and everyone selling one is garbage and "not worth that" or "I wouldn't pay that". So I can't really say I blame people for taking the easy way out. Saves the headache and abuse. If I ever decide to sell my pride and joy I would hate see what criticism it gets when its listed on craiglsist or ebay because this is not the place to sell one of these....

Re: Cash for Clunkers Sy

I don't get some people. "Ah, I cant sell the trucks for $12k together. I know I'll trade them in on cfc so no one else can get them and make $9k, perfect!"

If your trucks are paid off and your trading them in on cfc, whats your logic behind it? Justify spending $15-20k+ on a brand new car vs keeping a truck that's paid off that you only spend insurance and gas on every year. Oh, you must feel bad for not stimulating the eccomeny personally. That's probably it.

I said it before, if you're willing to distroy a rare truck like this because you cant stand to have it just sit there, or drive it then you shouldn't own it in the first place.

Having seen it in person, I can say it it mostly rust free. I have a ton of pictures, and the VIN.....just waiting to see the outcome before I get carried away posting the details.

I've been in contact with the used car manager at that lot every day since I got back from Nationals. We should know something soon!
