Thanks Ali for screwing me on the ticket you got in my old truck. I guess trying to be nice backfired on me, Anyways anyone who might do business with Ali McAfee in Chicago owner of 93 Typhoon black/grey #0731 he is a thief and can not be trusted. He said the truck was at RPM for some mods, better get your money first Mike Lee.

Oh and if you see this send me my shit back. Also those plates are reported STOLEN i hope you are still driving with them on there because I will press charges.

i was being nice/stupid and let this guy use the plates on the typhoon to drive back to chicago after i sold it to him. he said he would send them back the next day after he got home. well he never did and in the meantime he got a redlight ticket on lake shore drive in chicago 3 weeks later with my plates STILL on it. well he said he would pay it and send my plates back 3 weeks ago. now he doesnt answer phone calls or emails and unfortunately i had to get a lawyer inolved now.

but dont you get a 2 day grace peroid when you buy a truck? we do in WI, you have 2 days grace time to have the vehicle registered before you get in trouble, so i dont see why you left the plates on?

If you have a bill of sale (especially a notarized one) pre-dating the redlight ticket, you might be able to fight the ticket.

yes there was probably other ways around leaving the plates on there. yes i was stupid. i just trusted the guy. lesson lived; lesson learned. believe me i will NEVER do anything like this again. i even took all the registration stickers off the last jetski i sold.

well its not like i went out and hired an attorney (my uncle). really i just wanted him to send the stuff into chicago with his letterhead and the police report about the plates. hopefully i think chicago will drop the ticket. it just ticks me off that i was stupid enough to have to go through al this trouble although it hopefuly wont cost me anything. it seems like anymore no one especially the state/local authorities will listen to you unless you have an attorney.

Sad the guy took advantage of you Mike.
At least you have the bill of sale dated with his info on it so fighting the red light ticket shouldn't be an issue.

Were they IL or MO plates?
I would report them stolen in both states and if the truck is at RPM in CA I would report them stolen out there too.

We have "Driveway to Driveway" permits in MO also.
The out of state buyer takes the bill of sale to any MO DOR office and they issue a one time permit to drive it home.
I believe E Rue and I did this for the White Ty.

they were il plates. i taked with rpm they're not there. really i would just like them back for the memories of the truck at this point.

he said he lives in the city thats all i know. the plates are Ilinois car plates GTBOST 2. he's on here he saw the post for the typhoon here.

we're you the one who told him the ty had a th400 and he drove all the way to Ca to find out it had a stock 700r4 in it? :) Anyways, those plates are not on the truck. Sorry about your problems. If you have a bill of sale, you have nothing to worry about. Hopefully you stated in writing the plates do not come with it, otherwise they came with the truck regardless of what he verbally promised you. Not taking sides, just stating the facts.

The Ty is very clean though!

i told him that it had a stock rebuilt trans with z pack clutches in it! he called me back asking if it had a th400 in it i told him NO! it has a stock rebuilt 700r4. he was convinced it had a th400 in it i dont know why?? he said his buddy said it was a th400? i was completely honest about this truck. maybe he got confused because i showed him my drag truck and it has a turbo400 in it??

i even ran through with him that if youre driving it hard to run it in D then shift into OD when youre on the highway!

how could a th400 have 4 gears? mike i was completely honest with this guy... i ran through everythiing about this truck down to the smallest detail. hell i even gave him a laptop and cable to tune it with. look i just want the plates back whats so difficult. im glad the plates arent on there though

did you drive the truck and show him that it have 4 gears or what mike? i taked with him a bunch of times about the tranny i dont know what the confusion was about.
