I just recently purchased sy 2463 from toledo ohio from a great guy with a great truck. I bought it with 16,500 miles. I live north of Chicago near the Wisconsin border. I used to own sy 1411 back in the day and did attend nats in 2000, I beleive. The truck is flawless. maybe some of you had seen it on auto trader roughly two months ago. Pretty much stock with k n air filter, upgraded cap rotor and borla exhaust. This truck is wicked. i cant wait til the winter is over so I can bring it out to a close event or whatever. You can bet that when nats come around next year, I will be attending. I dont have any pics yet but will try to get some and post them. Im happy I got my baby back. And excited to share with other family members. Will be posting again shortly.:D

Jim Flory sy 2463 18,500 miles as of right now. liscense plate is "syonara"

Welcome. How did you put 2,000 miles on it?

As I understand it, there will not be a Nats in 2010, but there will be a "Homecoming"...which is similar and held in Michigan.

Re: Recent purchase of sy 2463

Yes I do have jackstands and wipr it down after every ride over 10 miles. The gentleman who i bought it from put it up and wiped everything down after every cruise. It looks brand new underneath. He took really good care of it1. As far as putting 2k on it,The first 500 were put on cruising back from toledo to fox lake Illinois. The other 1500, well what can I say, I LOVE cruising. I dont beat it up and do take really good care of it. I have to encounter a decent race. for the two months I have launched it only bout three times. This truck will be with me forever. The best part about it is that I do not have a payment to ever be made on it. Its about time to put it up for the winter. Im curious as to who is near me in terms of northern chicago. Brian Green ever around? Still?

I love my truck. pics will be coming shortly.

The gentlemans name was Jon Bruning. Very nice guy. He also a owner of a pontiac G8 GXP I beleive. As I understand it there was around 1000 made. Was supposed to go for a ride when i was there but never did because i was so excited to leave with my baby. He says the o-60 time was just a few ticks slower than the sy. What is the reason for a possibility of no Nats next year?

Because of the time and effort it takes to put one together. Plus, having Homecoming and Nats in the same year has the potential of diluting both events. Hard to get 30+ trucks together in one place ONCE a year let alone twice. So the organizers of Nats decided to skip a year.

Used to have 1411? I have 1405 and 1415. Both of mine were built on the same day. My other a week later and the last truck in May.
Had the 1405 running yesterday. 3477 miles. Charged the AC a bit.
