SY vs TY drive shaft

Anyone know the length difference between a SY vs TY driveshaft? Looking to swap my SY transfer case to a TY and there are differences in the output shaft length and diameter. Plus, anything else I should know before attempting the swap?

If there’s an old post in the topic please point me in the right direction.

Syclone has a long shaft, and a short tail piece on the transfer case making it a longer shaft required. It also has 27 spline count.

Typhoon has a shorter driveshaft and a longer tail piece on the transfer case. The spline count is 32 on the output shaft.

You can swap theTy's T-case output shaft, tailhousing, to the Sy T-case, and the Sy's driveshaft front yoke to the Ty's driveshaft and it will all bolt together. Lot of work, though. You have to split the case to change the output shaft.

With the correct yoke inserted into each transfer case, the overall length difference only appears to be right at one inch at the most. If I install the TY case and modify my Syclone driveshaft to use a 32 spline yoke - will it still be within tolerance seeing that it’ll end up being only 1” short on the SY driveshaft? I’ve got a HP driveshaft I’d like to retain.
