it has nothing to do with your rockers. you have piston slap. excessive piston to wall clearance. does your truck have over 90k miles? change out your oil to 5-50w. you will still have noise when it's cold but the change in weight will bring your pressure up a bit and help out in hot weather...

there are 2 reason for low oil pressure and that is bearing failure or too much clearance. sounds like bearing failure since they have a copper underlayment and you have struck gold in your oil. there are a ton of reasons why the bearings could have went away but let us know what you find. :(...

look, heres what you do. on the control arm bushings. put the shaft in a vice, use an air chisel to remove the old bushings from the shaft. be carefull not to damage the shaft. find 2 sockets that will go over the bushings and seat on the metal jacket of the bushing. now, put a little oil on the...

i run 5w-50w in the summer. my truck has 84k and it keep's the oil pressure up. if i use 5w-30w in summer it drops 10 #'s

on the rear, run your finger inbetween the weatherstrip. dirt usually gets in there and doesn't make a good seal. as for the front, the windshield is put in with urethane. this stuff is tough! if your leaking there is is from rust or the truck has been hit.

so bdubb, if my truck is totally stock except for k&n and 160 thermo & hot wired intercooler pump which set up should i use for driveability. the alky or aquamist? im having a pinging issue at normal driving say going up hills at 1500 rpm. we can only get 92 octane out here. :cry: [/code]

yo par tay. don't use any of it inside of the distributor. just put some in each end of the plug wires. dont use too much.
