Re: Quinnster's Syclone 2208 Rebuild
Thanks man! I went with energy suspension for every bushing in the truck except the torsion bar mount and rear leafs, but I think the belltech leafs I still have to install have the poly bushings.
The A arms were sand blasted and painted with engine...
Re: Quinnster's Syclone 2208 Rebuild
Ok, It doesn’t look like a whole lot has been done since last update, but it’s the small things that take the longest! I started doing my big brake conversion in the front and found dry rotted bushings so figured I had to replace those. Then that led to...
I have been wanting to do a sealed beam conversion to the Syclone for 3 years now and have done a fair amount of research, and came to a conclusion that Cibie Lenses were the best out there I could get. The guy who sells them www.Danielsternlighting.com seems to be overly knowleageable about...
Re: Intercooler repair???
Where did you find the ends, or how did you make them? I would be stoked to buy a kit modified like yours, or a narrower version to retain the AC. I have always liked your IC setup.
Re: Motor mounts, Boy they are fun to do!!!
That is the proper sides to install the mount on and like others have said, you do need to leave them loose and align the engine then tighten them. It took me a while to get them lined up.
Re: Who's going to SEMA this year?
Well I think I have everyones # now so maybe figure out once we get there where to meet Thursday night and maybe friday night also unless someone wants to just pick a place to meet now.
Re: Need recommendation for tuner in socal
Yea, but I payed them for 2 hours of time and spent most of the time teaching him Tuner Pro, and I still had to fix things I left. I wouldn't reccomend him for these trucks.
Re: Who's going to SEMA this year?

Re: Who's going to SEMA this year?

Re: SY 2373 Ramblings
Glad to hear you didnt have to pull the heads! The walbro should work for me for a while then. I also need to do the rear brake swap soon. Take pictures of the trans build and rear brake swap if you can! Thanks for the help.
Re: SY 2373 Ramblings
Are you just running a Walbro 255 for your fuel delivery? I'm wondering how much power I can make with mine before I run out of fuel.
Also Whats the latest after the cylinder was low on compression? Have you had to pull the heads, or you just need to periodically clean...
Re: Quinnster's Syclone 2208 Rebuild
Thanks, I need to take it to a meet soon, but everytime I decide to work on it I find 20 other things that need to be done!! The joys of owning a 20 year old truck
As the truck sits right now I have the Upper and lower A-arms pulled off and am...
Re: Help me start a new project: HowTune
I will help with as much as I can when I work on my trucks. I always liked how the subaru forum categorized all the DIY articles in to one easy to find spot. Anything I have wanted to do to my subaru already has a DIY article which has save me a bunch...
