Technically with the new colorado and the legwork already done with the TT Trailblazer...yes a new style Syclone is feasible...but reasonable and will GM do it? hell no.

race or get outta the way
I used to have my customers at my counter bs'n me all the time that the s10 extreme (extreme this) was going to be turbo'd.
Lets see and before that i had em saying "oh yeah that syclone is the one with the dual turbos isnt it!.

BUT
A month after i bought the sy new, gmc marketing calls me and asks me what i think if they made the same package in a blazer body. I told em i would probably buy it.

Then after i bought the wife a ty, A month later gmc marketing called again but this time asking me what if they made a similar package witha v8 turbo in a suburban. I told em they were friggin nuts. Told em that would be like trying to turn a tank into a funny car or a rail.

GMC marketing had a good idea in the begginning but they just dont seem to understand it.

very true but they had to kill that too!
unlike the typhoon and syclone the impala had been produced for the past 50 years the only difference is that they didnt ruin the sy/ty integrity by making a shitty remake, they just didnt make it at all!
CArs from now on by most amer companies are way off, we are like 20 years behind in technology considering all of the bs we are adding to cars and calling innovation, new wave etc..? I just dont understand..i did see this coming though when Nike's and reebocks stopped looking like sneakers and more like spaceships...its all relevant.

Look in the new issue of Motor Trend on page 40 at the new 2003 Chevy Silverado SS. 6.0L V-8, 345-hp and 380 lb-ft torque, 275/40R22 Goodyears, al-wheel drive and availabel in black(of course!), blue and red. Also it will be rated to tow 7500 lbs!! May not be a Lightning beater out of the box (unless it is wet out!), but with some mods who knows.
It definately looks bad-ass! Only trouble is $38,500, OUCH!!!!

Has this been ever brought up on this board before?

Yawn...nothing special...nor will it ever be. It's a rebadged C3 that never sold for GMC...so they put an ugly grill on it, put a weird rollpan and bumper treatment and called it an SS hoping it will sell this time. Fuck GM.

You tend to get that way when you're deployed to a shit hole country like kosovo with nothing to do but stare at the bleak sky and trash covered country side filled with people that hate each other for no reason other than the others have a funny accent...but you could never convince them that they actually do speak the same language even though they understand each other....Oh and see the same farging topics every other day.

So back at ya buddy.

GM is wanting to the buyer to build em now, they will sell you the car/truck then you can go get a GM performance parts catalog and buy your supercharger or whatever else they offer all without voiding the warranty. They are offering a supercharger for the sunfires/cavilers now, and I wouldnt be suprised if one comes out for this SS thing, which would make it one bad mother. It kinda seems like the ricer way to go about it, buy a slow ass vehicle and then spend a bunch of money to make it fast. From what I have heard and read this is the way GM wants to do it, but none the less things are actually looking up.
