4L60E and BW4472 Transfer Case

Anyone using this set up?

No answer on the possible adapters so I am figuring no one is using it.

no special adaptors needed....bolts right up to a E model... all the mounts and everything is identical...

Sorry John.. I have to disagree with you.

I have a 1998 4L60E from a Bravada in my truck right now... with the stock transfer case bolted to it... so you are right.. it will bolt together.

But.. the transfer case is clocked about 5 degrees clockwise from where the stock one is and this makes the propshaft hit the floor of the truck.

It does bolt right up though.. starter fits too... with the tranny and the motor in place.. I know someone was saying theirs would not fit with the stock tranny.

did you use the bravada adaptor? syty adaptor?

I used the Bravada adapter.. the Syty adapter will not fit on a 1998 transmission. In 1997 they changed the extension housing flange on the tranny... so they are not interchangeable.

I am going to call Advance and see what they can do for me... worse comes to worse I will just make one.

I bought an adapter from Advance Adapters

I have it on the way.. will be here on Thursday... I will let you know how it works.
