Allow Me To Introduce Myself

Hello all,
My name is Shane and im Eye Roll. Im 33. Living in southern Ohio. And im the soon to be owner of Ty #1827, original radar blue.

My history with automotive goes back as far as i can remember. Everything from go carts, atvs, motorcycles, cars, trucks, and just about everything in between with a motor. Few speed boats too. I grew up in WV so crazy home built vehicles were a normal everyday thing.

Ive been involved with S10/Blazers my whole life. 1st gen, 2nd gen, street, offroad, and full blown drag trucks too. Owned just about every variant made. Xtreme blazers were probably my favortite. Unfortunately i never did get the opportunity to own a syty until now. Thanks to some awsome forum members and a lot of research i actually tracked down the only surviving original radar blue typhoon. The other was exported to europe and is believed to have been totaled(i have a pic supposedly taken in a euro junkyard of what appears to be a wrecked radar blue typhoon). You can check out the entire story behind that in my thread "The Legend of the Two In Radar Blue".

Ive never really been much for social media and internet besides keeping in touch or researching something. So i guess thats why it took me so long to end up on here. Joined some other forums recently as well. Swedespeed and dsm tuners(i own an S60 R and a GSX Eclipse as well). Yea, im into everything automotive. lol. Keeps things interesting. And apparently i have an affinity for AWD vehicles too

Im also a big YouTube watcher. Dont even have cable anymore. If u guys have a YT channel pm ur link and ill sub. I actually made a channel called Eye Roll(same avatar), ive just been so busy i havent got the chance to make any automotive related videos yet. i will in due time. i plan to document me bringing 1827 home from Texas to Ohio and post it there as well

As far as my username goes, i feel i should explain the story behind that as well. Its actually a name that i happend upon and kinda earned at the same time. When i bought my S60 R i started to research the history of Volvo. I found that they didnt get their start making cars, they actually started out making ball bearings. Ironically enough, their company "motto", per se, was "Volvere". The word is derived from latin and means "I roll" or "We roll". But apparently the ball bearing business didnt work out and and they reformed and started making automobiles. They took the word "volvere" and shortened it to volvo. So i thought, thats what im putting on my license plate. Volvo enthusiests kno the "I Roll" motto well. But when i got the car home, my wife took one look, rolled her eyes, and walked back inside. And from then on 'I Roll" became "Eye Roll" and just stuck. I still keep buying all kinds of crazy automotive stuff and she keeps rolling her eyes.

So thats my story guys. lots of great people ive come across already on here. Looking forward to meeting more. Also thankful to have found so many resources for syty all in one place. If you have any questions for me im happy to answer them.

Thanks All
