are syclones good when it comes to handling.

I dont have a syclone but i am saving up for one and i am 17.
My buddy has a red 93 lightning and it handles really well. even for a full sized truck. On night we mad a left turn and from the left lane in a regular intersection did 45-50 around the turn with out the rear end sliding out.
IM just waiting to get a sy. i wanna know what i am up against with all aspects
thanks

unfortunately they inherit some characteristics (feel) of the s-series trucks. but they do handle pretty well. I remember doing a similar move in my friend's sy when he just got it, sept 45 from the left turn lane across only a 2 lane road. stuck predictably to the road.

So you were drifting? ;)

A Sy's handling compared to any Lightning is a night and day difference.

It is actually HARD for me to get my truck to slide out. When it starts slipping, just give it a little gas and it catches again! I think they handle really well for what they are.

no The rear end did not break at all

Is the sy better or worse?

its all wheel drive man, its gonna definately be better, i can speak of a few times already when the awd has saved me from an accident

for what the truck has, it handles quite well... the AWD makes up a good 75% of it. it still isnt a corvette, however can come close if modified correctly....

al dustan's coilover suspension upgrade has proven itself and can pull 1g on the skidpad. you can see more at www.dustanperformance.com

if you plan to get your future truck and use it for road coarse racing and whatnot, the coilovers might be a good move for you.... we have a FAST member who did some road coarse racing and placed 3rd amoung camaros, corvettes, etc havnig the truck only lowered by the front torsion bar and drop blocks in the rear....

if your just looking for a good fast street performance, lower it, get good shocks and settle with the fact that you own a truck and it will never handle like a ferarri.

Sounds like a nice semi-drift to me... :p

FWIW, I read that in 1991 the Syclone was the best handling vehicle GM produced that year, second only to the Corvette.
