That's an interesting truck. If only trucks could talk this one would have quit the story.

Well, that's a first.

Armored because it was a drug runner...or law enforcement...I wonder?

Maybe El Chapo had a Syclone. It's history is ghost on carfax since 94.

Scam , cant spell syclone and wants a deposit to bring to US! I bet its in a shipping container too. If it was armored at best there is holes all over frame and body not to mention the weight would exceed max load rating

Curious....

Why armor a Syclone?

When they say Armored, are the body panels upgraded?

Just bullet proof glass? That doesn't help much if the body isn't modified.

I agree. Someone who wants must ask for a video of a bullet (small caliber ) bouncing off the driver side glass or rear.

Wow...this is the ultimate SHTF truck! Otherwise, completely useless and heavy.

Armor protecting using Kevlar wouldn't add more then a couple hundred pounds to the vehicle. All they would have done is epoxy 3 or 4 layers of Kevlar mat to inside of the doors and the cab shell. I don't what the windows would add but I don't see it being that heavy. I also don't see it costing $50K in 1993 to armor proof it. The seller would worry me, 10 transactions on Ebay and no feedback

When I worked at a GMC dealership a 2500 Yukon XL came in that had bullet proof glass. They doors were very very heavy just to open and close. I would guess at least a few hundred pounds to each door easily.

Yea... Armor is very heavy and you would need more than just three to four layers of Kevlar... That wouldn't stop a .22 short.... For example concealable soft body armor has upwards to 12-16 layers of Kevlar just to stop handgun rounds and a an average vest weighs 6 pounds... Anti rifle ceramic plates weigh about 5 pounds a square foot... Anti rifle lexan is about 3" thick and man is that stuff very very heavy.. So I'm guessing the armor on this Sy weights close to 1000 pounds, give or take... But what am I talking about, I have no experience with this type of shit... :bs: We'll just say this Sy is now as slow as a Safari van and probably handles worse than one!!

They use Kevlar cloth not mat for bullet resistant clothes and 1 layer of mat would easily stop a 22 bullet. They epoxy the layer of mat to the inside surface of the panels and 4 layers of mat would be around a quarter in thick. I've worked around this process already.

Sorry... Missed the mat part... Yea, mat is much better stuff but you'll need way more than 1/4" to stop anything more than handgun rounds..
