Anyone know where I can get another one of these? Anything that works as a replacement what size are the threads ect. I searched but don't have much time at the moment to read through a ton of post so fig I would just ask. Thanks for any help.

Re: Brass fitting for oil pressure sensor?

Should be able to get a long 1/8 brass pipe nipple and the correct elbow at any hardware store. I believe the OP sensor is 1/4p so you'd want a 1/8 to 1/4 reducing ell. Female thread both sides. You might bring the sensor with you or pickup a 1/8 to 3/8 ell also just in case.

Nice running GTO BTW!

I just sold one as a spare to a member. Maybe I can give him a shout and he can help.

Re: Oil pressure sender

Oil*/ Fuel*pressure*sensor, GM / AC Delco part no. 19244497 (old 10201491) 1989-1993.
1/8-27 NPT, three prong. Closes ignition circuit at 1.5 - 7.5 PSI*oil*pressure.*
Angled brass fitting, GM 10201491 use if required.*

Note:*
NPT (National Pipe Thread) fractional size does not refer to ID or OD of the threads. It refers to an industry standard for pipe fittings and plugs, not actual size:
1/8 NPT = 3/8" - 27 Threads Per Inch
1/4 NPT = 1/2" - 18 TPI*
3/8 NPT = 5/8" - 18 TPI
1/2 NPT = 3/4" - 14 TPI*
3/4 NPT = 1" - 11-1/2 TPI

Not long at all. If you have had problems with that brand you may want to try another. I don't know what the brand that I removed was. But it was a new defective one.

Here is a Standard from the list Throws provided. Mine was this size. It shows another part number for a smaller dia. on the link. I don't know if some trucks have a different size.

Oil*Pressure Switch - PS262T (1/4" thread) My trucks thread size.
Oil*Pressure Switch - PS236T (1/8" thread)

DaveP just gave me some info on the*Oilpressure switch. This is how to determine the one you need.*
If the sender is at a 90º angle to the brass adaptor, and parallel with the ground, it is a 1/4"
sender. If the sender is at a 45º angle to the ground, it is a 1/8" sender.

Re: Brass fitting for oil pressure sensor?

I recently changed that part out. I bought everything mentioned at Lowes.

Re: Brass fitting for oil pressure sensor?

For Dave and everyone else, Block fitting is 1/8npt. Sender is 1/4.

Plain long nipple on left, Sy OP fitting next, 1/4npt plug and a 3/8 street-ell for comparison.
