C4 Corvette rear suspension and mixed matched gear ratios

Hello,

I'm planning to install a C4 Corvette rear suspension. My front gear ratio is 3.42. The closest gear ratio that fits the Corvette differential is 3.45.

Does anyone here know if this will destroy my Transfer case?

Not sure, but from logic you cant have any difference in gear ratio on AWD

Do the math and make up the difference with tire size. Research the quadraduce they used 3.73's and 3.42 or look up NOJIMMY on here he is running mixed gear ratios as well...

I've played around with tire sizes. By mix matching the tires I can get the tire speeds almost the same. 0.1 mile per hour difference.

Please post some pics of this when you do it. Very interesting.

I was going to do the C4 suspension swap but figured it wasnt going to be strong enough to handle the HP for my build, but I was just going to go with 3.08 ratios since both are available in the front and the C4 Dana 44HD

Over the years other have come on here, posted that they were going to do the same and to my knowledge nobody has ever followed through..

I hope you do and I look forward to seeing detailed pics and a full review of traction/ride quality results..

@ Randy Merritt

It's actually going into a 67 Nova not a syty. I'm using a syty Transfer case and figured someone on here might know more about that case than I do. If you want to see pics, I can post them but I think people want to see sytys on here not classics.

@ Cpatain Morgan.

I'm actually using the front differential from a 2002 Trailblazer. That diff doesn't come in a 3.08. It does come in a 3.73. I'm consider switching to the 3.73 to having matching gear sets.

@mattw

To be honest, it's going in a 67 Nova. I've robbed the front suspension and transfer case from a 94 Bravada.
