Re: Chip modules

Yes, I can test them and reprogram them to your liking. If you want to program them to the latest GM bin (BBZB), then it's $20 (+S&H) each to test and burn. If you want a custom reprogram or upgraded burn, then it's $50 (+S&H) each to test and burn. PM me for more information.

So.....

$20 - reprogram to latest stock offering
$25 - reprogram to ATR, Hypertech, etc...
$50 - reprogram to custom/upgraded tune

Re: Chip modules

I have the AYBM 4053 chip in my garage but I cant find much info on it...what is it and where can I find its location on the truck to see and or replace?

Also I have an adjustable chip that has the t1 t2 and t3 settings with different boost levels..isnt this also a 3bar built into it..?

Unless it was custom burned, it sounds like a standard 3 bar Ultimate chip. Could be for stock or 50# injectors,

Syclone#2960

What ever it takes!!

The ECM is located behind/under the glove box.
The T1 chip should be for a 3 bar setup...when you find your ECM the chip should be labeled.

Re: Chip modules

Ok so sounds like I dont need to worry about the blue chip I found because the ultimate chip has a built in 3 bar...however I notice when playing with the boost settings it doesnt seem to change my boost...my gauge still says 20psi the only difference is how it runs..like crap if set on a 15psi setting..as if running out of fuel...runs better when set to 18 or more
Is this due to someone adjusting the wastegate rod?
Also it says rev limit should of been raised to 5400 however mine still seems to be set at 4700 I think...its been a month since ive driven it so I dont recall

Re: Chip modules

Doesnt my ultimate chip have a built in 3 bar or should I look to see if I have another chip plugged in..im not sure why the previous owner would take out the 3 bar if he needed it..my thoughts are he had the chip in before installing the ultimate chip and thats why he took out the 3 bar blue chip

Re: Chip modules

2 things are required for an Ultimate chip to work:

1) - You must have the stock (or similar) memcal piggybacked into the Ultimate carrier. The Ultimate contains the binary code for the engine but does not contain the ESC circuitry, so it "borrows" that from the piggybacked chip.

2) - A 3 bar MAP sensor. You keep saying your Ultimate has a built in 3 bar.....that technically makes no sense. What the Ultimate has is the correct coding to allow it to *work* with a 3 bar MAP sensor.

Re: Chip modules

So should I check to see what chip I have installed? I know at least part of the ultimate chip is working because I can change the settings and it does effect how the truck runs..the boost is set at 20 and if I turn the chip to the t1 14 setting it acts as if running out of fuel..on the t3 18 setting it runs great... truck runs damn near 12.5 in 1/4 so should I be worried i even bother checking to see what chip I may have installed

That's up to you. If you're happy with the way it runs and have no desire to modify it....sure, leave it alone. I personally would want to know what the hell was in my truck. I feel certain that there is another memcal (stock or otherwise) docked into the Ultimate carrier in your ECM. It won't run properly if not.
