I have a few of the door/tailgate decals from Graphiks that they sent by accident instead of the windshield decal I ordered. They ARE NOT factory decals. I had a set of originals and compared them side by side and there is a significant difference between them. Although similar, the designs are different.

The only 2 differences Ive seen in later decals from GC is that the decal is a bit more matte looking and less shiney than the origs on the trucks, and the cutout is slightly different, but not by much.

Id be interested in seeing a side by side pic.....

They one I had Graphik Concepts do are 2 layer.

Did you order custom colors other than original red/silver/gold? If so, they do them in 2 layer.

Are they two layers? Because I know the factory originals are 2 colors on one layer...thats the quickest way to tell... then look hard enough to see if they used a crappy vector... I know the vector I made is about 99.8% perfect but I'm looking for OEM... If I can't find it I guess i'll just have to settle...

Are you trying to reproduce 1 layer graphics? There are some very good ones floating around already done. I have 100% accurate Sy and Ty vector logos taken off original decals including the windshield banner with the slight curve, but I dont give them out.

Yes, they were custom colors.
In all, I also had the windshield banner done in a 2 layer w/ reflective red, I spent $162.

yeah, all the customs are done in 2. chris did chromeboy's years back with this. looks wavy due to its under the clear coat, which i guess didnt sit perfect on top of the chrome vinyl.

Yes, they still do the OEM decals.

And good graphic shop can do a one layer decal. The shop I use uses a machine called the Gerber Edge and it's awesome for reproducing factory look graphics. My olf green/ grey 92 and my tyclone decals.

idk the top layer of the chrome decal looks like it was placed too much to the right... the outlines are off :squint: Now whats this about one layer decals? Gerber edge? I'll look into it...
