Dynotech u-joints

Went to replace my u-joints yesterday, so I went to the local AutoZONED and told them that I needed 2 u-joints for the front driveshaft. I saw the guy put the info in the computer and the correct truck came up. He brought out the u-joints and I took them home. After comparing them to the current ones in the shaft, the new ones are huge. Went back to AutoZONED this morning and did several checks on other GM vehicles and nothing is even close. The propshaft has a Dynotech sticker on it with the numbers 108306. Tried to cross-reference that number and comes back to a waterpump, figuring that wouldn't do the job, I left. Did a search here and someone said that Dynotech made the original propshafts for our trucks. So my question is where do I get the correct u-joints? Jim

I doint think they are easily servicable joints.
take the shaft to a driveshaft repair shop and they can replace them and rebalance the shaft for you.

Or send it back to Dynotech for rebuild.

Jas & Bill, thanks for the info. Was going to e-mail Dynotech last night but damn e-mail wasn't working. Got the u-joints out just now, big c clamp and couple of sockets, no big deal. The manual you speak of, is that GM? I ask because one of my stops today was the GMC dealership by me. Go figure, Ty-what? Jim
