zr1 are made for top end not off the line. i would still say pretty close. at the gmhtp mag show a couple weeks ago the zr1 wsas in the 14-15s all day till the last couple passes and made a few mid-high 13s. this was his first time racing it but i can not see it getting much better then a 13.2-4
This same question was posed on a Corvette board, and it seemed from some participants that the discussion was going on across a few. I thought it would be interesting to search around for other perspectives and opinions, and I was also interested to hear from other GMHTP shootout participants as the event was a lot of fun.
Anyway, the three videos I have of my runs are all 13.5 and lower:

The way they gave feedback on runs (or, rather, didn't give you any feedback at all) was idiotic, so it's hard to say what everyone ran each time. But, I never to my knowledge ran in the 15's, and the one run in the 14's was because I way overcooked the launch, and decided to just stay on it for fun. I could always make another run.
While I'd certainly expect any discussion of the event from a certain type of owners would be biased towards that type of car, there's no reason to be mean about it.
As an aside, I believe the magazine should be out around the very end of September. I found a local bookstore that carries it and pumped them for info about when they typically get delivery of new magazines.
I think I've at least one video of a Typhoon going down the track, I'll dig it up and post it. I'd also love to hear from anyone with better videos of me going down the track.
