Fixing Intercooler

I accidentally broke the nipple of the fill neck of my upper intercooler. I'm currently looking to buy a new one unless it can be fixed.

Has anyone ever repaired this before?

Thanks,
Graham

Go A2A? ;)

Might try to scuff up the area and carefully lay a bead of JB weld around the nipple? Probably need to get creative to help hold it in place though.

I have plugged off several with no issues, if it gets that hot to purge out you will have other issues first, plug it off and away you go

I've done something to fix it for now I was just seeing if anyone had done something better. Also heat from the intercooler hasn't been an issue

JB Weld works very well with a new filler neck. You will need to clean up the hole carefully first.

Pull the rest of the nipple off then drill and tap it with a 1/8 NPT thread and install a hose barb.

This was the plan but theres not enough material there. I went with a mini threaded hose barn and put a nut on the back side inside the filler neck. Only problem is that its tearing up the rubber seal on the cap.

Re: Fixing Intercooler

Plug the original hole with a 1/8 NPT allen plug and then relocate the barb somewhere more suitable?
