Pope....bring the pocket bike if you can. I blew the chopper up yesterday (there's only so long you can spray a 20 shot of N2O into a 4hp weedeater engine), but I hope to have a new engine (12 hp B&S on a 54 lb frame) on it by next week.

Alright guys, three weeks left. I'm gonna call the hotel today and check on rates. I'm gonna assume 6 rooms (some of us will be sharing).
Also, if any of you have a digi-cam or camcorder, please bring it. We need to beef up the georgiasyty.com website and I'd like to get a bunch of pictures of each truck and some video of us running. I'll scout out a nice place for a photo shoot when I come in on Friday.
Speaking of which, how many of you are planning to run? I'd like to let Cliff (GAFBA Prez) know.

Alright guys, three weeks left. I'm gonna call the hotel today and check on rates. I'm gonna assume 6 rooms (some of us will be sharing).
Also, if any of you have a digi-cam or camcorder, please bring it. We need to beef up the georgiasyty.com website and I'd like to get a bunch of pictures of each truck and some video of us running. I'll scout out a nice place for a photo shoot when I come in on Friday.

I probably won't be. I took the Ty out to gas it up last night and it now has a aweful POP BANG CLUNK sound coming from the front propshaft. This only happens turning to the left......in a semi to tight turn. New left CV shaft, reworked propshaft.......it made a small noise before shaft got reworked and made no noise with it out. So I'll probably take it back out for the trip. Could this be from the VC? or is it the shaft? or something else.

ok i will that is no problem i will bring it down there.
i have to get a new rear section becasue some people broke it this summer but no big deal.
I also have been tranfered to the dark side of the black smoke world of a duamax so i will run, hopefully it i will have the exhaust and a programmer on there by then.
But get with me on the room if ya want to room with me, kate has decided that she did not want to come becasue her sister has a tennis tournment up in Rome Georgia.
But get ready for a fun weekend again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which programmer you going with? I may be able to get you a good price.
Rooming - my buddy Wayne is coming down, so we'll be rooming together, but we'll get a room next to ya and it'll be just like Daytona.

As far as photos/video, I'd like to get a few group pics, one @ the track and one @ a nice location (TBD). Also, I'd like to get multiples of each truck (ext, int, engine, etc...) esp. those that I don't have galleries for yet. Video....just some good footage of runs. I'll have my vid-cam, so if someone wants to operate it while I'm running on Sunday, feel free.

I'm going to see if I can schedule this - I'm selling the 93 Ty that I have in Florida, perhaps I could drive it up if there is anyone who may be interested? Or, maybe just take it for one last run down the track, get a current timeslip...

There was a guy who just recently posted looking for a ty in GA.... should be in this section.
I close the shop here in Lawrenceville at 4:30, but I am not leaving to hit rush hour traffic. I plan to leave around 6:30. I'll look for you guys in the parking lot around 8:00.

Just looked at the weather forcast for Reynolds and it looks a shower possibility for Saturday and Sunday (30-40% either day). I say that if it looks clear on Saturday night that we go ahead and shoot on down to the track that night, so that we can get some runs in if it does happen shower on Sunday. If it's clear Sunday, we'll still go, obviously, but I don't want anyone to miss racing if it does rain on Sunday.
That cool with everyone?
Downside = $10 to spectate & $25 to race on Saturday night.
