I did a lot of work on a truck years ago that had 4.10's front and rear and with std tire sizes it was a terrible combo. It would blaze the tires with ease. could not be launched hard at all and when you would roll into it, it would soon fall on it's face bc the top speed was limited by the gears. I would never suggest this combo without having some very tall tires.
IMO I would go the other way, 3.23 maybe.

Since this is a track truck it sounds like you need to make some passes and then change gears you may have to do it more than 1 time and get real world results. Instead of hoping someone has the same build and done the same gear swap which is very unlikely.
That is what racers do to go fast trial and error if thats not what you want to do or cant afford stick to street racing with the ricers because raceing is expensive.
I think it's time for you to nut up or shut up.

3) Drive the truck first. You don't buy a fast car. You develop it.
4) Chill out.

Well that was a waste of 20 minutes-- but I'm curious about 28s and stock gears or 3.23s, 3.08s and 26s. I DD my truck about 15-20,000 miles a year as of now and it kind of pisses me off that I can get 22-23 mpg cruising at 45-55, but going 70 nets me 13-14.
I'm having my trans built, with a slightly higher stall, in a few weeks as well as going with a bigger turbo, 3" downpipe and catback. I'm thinking I will make enough torque for it to offset and still net a gain.. And maybe, just maybe, increase fuel economy a bit at tollway speeds of 70-75.
Or is this dumb thinking and a terrible thread to revive?
