I just want to say I finally got to meet some other typhoon members here in Japan. I got to say they are a great bunch of guys :D ..

The bad thing is that the my typhoon is in the shop, still working the bugs out of it.. I just ordered 2 ECM's last week from Carson and they should be here anyday now.

I just want to thank Kida-san and Kimura-san for organizing this event. It started off with a great BBQ at my house, and I am sure everyone was waiting to go outside and check out everyones ride.. I got to give them props, for keeping them in such good shape and RUNNING (compared to mine..LOL)

This turned out to be a great day, made alot of new friends, and I hope on the next meeting there will be a bigger turnout... YEAH>>

Here are some pics of the members rides:

all I can say is WOW!

I definately know where Im gonna look when I need different ideas for wheels.

That dark blue truck is beautiful, in fact they all look pretty sharp.

The scoop on the red/grey is kinda growing on me. I think I have an idea. I didn't even think of moving the overflow to the other side of by the oil filter.

Very cool... I think that yellow one would look great with lighter color cladding...

Super clean trucks!!

Howzit, Don! Nice pics.

I was hoping to be there this week, but I couldn't work out my schedule. Hopefully I'll make it later this year.

I know Kimura-san has Bellof HIDs. Does the white Ty have them too?

WOW!

I must say a nice collection of trucks from the other side of the world!

PS. I noticed almost all the truck had the rain-guards on the windows, must be daily drivers.

whats the info on the little skirts on the fender cladding on the wht?

curious, never seen it before.

The skirts might be to protect the cladding from the tire rubbing on it, since its so close.

Just my idea on it.

I noticed the Yankee plate on the Toyota. Where are you stationed? I was at Yokota for 3 years. Miss the gyoza. :-?

I also just made the page and uploaded here, so you all can see the pics of the white Ty. And you can check here as well.

I'll let you know more details for the white Ty later if you still wanna know but I only can say what I heard from him was now he is working so hard to convert his auto transmission to Borg Warner 5 speed manual.

Oh yes, there is another pages for the white Ty here.

I really like the blue - or - purple truck. Do we know if the truck was repainted or original color.
No, that is not original color, the owner repainted it.

Japanese law, tires must be located inside of the fender or body, but he got wider rims(billet specialities), so he had to put little skirt on the fender to pass the inspection,

Are those little backup light doohickeys a requirement in Japan or what?
yes
Yes correct, but we have to have amber turn signals for rears also, so almost all of our members put amber bulbs in the bottom where the originally back up bulbs were, then added back up lamps underneath.
