headliner question - syclone

Does your headline tuck under the A-pillar molding (where it makes contact with roof) - or does it ride on top of the plastic?

Also, is there a "finish" piece along the FRONT edge - or can you feel the edge of the headliner at the windshield?

Prompt responses sought as I am replacing today.

Thanks in advance.

There is no trim piece across the front edge at the windshield and IIRC the headliner rides on top if the A-pillar trim panel.

Thanks. That's how the stock one was in...just making sure it didn't pop out of the plastic at the a-pillar.

Putting in an LMC replacement.

Let me know how it works out. I need to replace mine but was unsure of the fit and finish of the LMC part.

How did this come out? What one did you order? Is it just like the stock one? I need to replace my headliner eventually. Does anyone make a reproduction warning sticker?

I posted in the "what did you do to your truck today" a while ago...I ordered a replacement piece from LMC on the advice of a few Sy owners around here (PA).

It's plug 'n play...stock specs. It has a plastic backing (vs. the crappy foam board). Goes right in and looks great. No more flop. I should get pix. :( Get the black one...not the charcoal.

Downside: It's expensive. IIRC it was about 190 shipped. It's made in China.

Upside: it take 30 minutes to do the job.

Hey Tim...PPG FTW!

Sending you a PM.

Guy only has 1 left so I didn't want to post the source. Sorry.

LMC was running a special on the black headliners a little while back for $149 IIRC. I am curious to how yours holds up.... literally. The one Ryan and I installed in "Tex" sagged/bowed down so bad in broke the dome light base plate in two. It was only in the truck for a few months. I will try to get some pics up...hopefully for you and others it is an isolated incident and not a common LMC headliner issue.

Well, if that's the case, maybe I am better off to get it recovered with the correct material.:squint:
