How do people feel about a November or Dec meet at this Hooters INSTEAD of the NJ location? I've been swamped at work and home, but if there is interest, I will call this place and see what's available.

Personally, I like Sunday afternoons. Most Eagles' games are PM games in November.

It's still a pretty central location, not far from the NJ border, but quite a bit farther north than Maple Shade.

See poll for dates. Start times would be around 1pm. Pick more than one date if you want.

EDIT: Hmmm...no responses yet. Guess everyone is out celebrating Obama's Nobel Peace Prize...:lol:

Not sure that any date works better than another for me at this point, so I didn't vote. I intend on making it, whenever it is.

If we can do it at a time when it's not loaded with Beagles fans, I'd appreciate it. :tup:

Steve maybe a poll on the location first would help. Some people just don't like to change things that have worked well in the past. I personally don't care either way but the idea is to get the best turn out.

I guess the meet in State College or Williamsport or Poconos fizzled out also huh. I only ask that here because I thought this meet was supposed to be in place of the hooters meet or I may have misunderstood?

You're right...we talked about replacing Hooters with the Poconos and then it became a big discussion of other places and bigger events (including poll). I brought up the Poconos but I can see with my schedule and all that it would be difficult to put together. Others near State College talked about organizing there but nothing came from it...which is fine.

I'm just trying to think of the easiest thing to do WHILE avoiding the Maple Shade Hooters. The Bensalem one is more central (further north for NJ and NY members) and it's a nicer setting (grassy knolls, close to turnpike, etc.).

However, based on the non-response to this thread so far, it doesn't look like it, or anything else will be happening.

I am just saying not everyone likes when things are changed so just asking what everyone thinks is best might be a better idea. Plus we do have some Maryland members as well. Don't get me wrong I could care less because to me the difference in distance isn't a big deal. I also think the date poll should include Sat and Sun dates not because I want to be a dick since you prefer Sunday but just because the day and location the most people can or will attend is when and where it should be.

In lieu of yet another poll, I've asked the question in post #1. "How do people feel about this..." If anyone has objections, feel free to post. I just thought it would be nice for a change of pace.

At the rate of responses and views however, doesn't look like an official meet is happening. I don't know where all the regulars are, but it doesn't seem like people are around. (Keith, Mike, Don, etc etc)

Worst case scenario, I'll just head out there one day and let people know and if it becomes a meet, great. If not, I'll grab some wings with my kid.

I'm going to do my best to get to any meet that is held, whether that means driving to South Jersey, PA, or even CT. I just can't commit to any dates yet, so I can't guarantee anything.

Anytime before t-giving is shot for me. I will be in fla for 2 weeks drag racing. Whenever it is I just hope I can get my truck fixed in time to make it out tthere!

That can't be right Vin. From Westchester? It's farther north than Maple Shade (but a bit more east). I did a google map and it say 1 hr 39 min to Maple Shade, 1 hr 33 min to Bensalem. :dunno:

i'm partial to early afternoon on Sunday November 22. I'll be in philly that weekend anyway. (saturday would be fine too). I'll be extremely hungry on that sunday since i'm running the philly marathon that morning. :tup: How about a SyTy cheering squad at the finish line for me?!?! :lol:
