Marked mine 1-3 years.
It's currently not garage art though. I think it's making sure Jeff Scotts yard doesn't fly away.

Re: how long on stands.

Mine have only been on stands while rebuilding the engines or in winter. I would go insane if I wasn't able to drive them. I don't know how you guys do it. If there is a problem with my trucks I am so determined to get it fixed that I can't think of anything else until I know it's ready to go whenever I want, or maybe my OCD just runs me! :rotf:

Mines been on the lift since the end of November, in the middle of changing out the motor mounts. I got 1 done and haven't had the time or the help to do the other one. Anyone close available to lend a hand this weekend?

1992 - less than a year. The previouse owner wrecked it in june.
1993 - reg expired in 2006. I bought it this summer in June. So less 5 years.

Since Last November. A new baby and other car that needed repair played heavily into why I didn't repair my Sy this past year.

Nope I'm the same way, mine was down for close to a year, but only because the machine shop took awhile on it!!!!

Mine was on stands for 1 1/2 twice about 3 months apart. SO I say about 3 years. I worked on it constantly so the wait was worth it since I pretty much now have a totally different truck. Now, I am 85% complete!! and I love driving my truck, I have no idea how I made it all that time without slitting my wrists.

Oh yeah, I tricked my wife in to getting one too:rotf:

That's the way I am to. I just can't stand it until whatever I am working on is complete.

I voted 5-10. That's more of a total though. Bought the truck in high school from the original owner who had it on jack stands. Needed brakes, and a new gas tank.

Got it running, blew the original motor

New motor...rear ended a personal injury lawyer

Been in various stages of running and recovery since then. I would say it has not been truly street worthy since about 2003-2004.

Mine is only on jackstands for a winter sleep! In the late winter/early spring I will replace leaky intake gaskets!

Mine was down for about a year during a rebuild but it's currently running and parked for the winter
