It's not the boost it's the knock. I'm guessing 25 for short periods without knock. Very gray area, to many variables. :2cents:

Like Don said....rarely does pressure itself kill, it's usually detonation. Keep the charge cool, knock free, and plenty of fuel and I've seen 25+ psi live just fine on a stock engine. Hell, Tyson ran 30 psi on a stocker for a long time (credit to tons of methanol and no knock).

Scheeeez....I think I will stay on 20 psi for now. I have a built motor on an engine stand ready for reasymbly. The test ( stock ) motor is running in the truck right now. Just dont have time to do the swap right now & a fellow sytyer wants me to take the truck to the track today with his.

Its all in the tune.

Ran 24# on Sy. when I had it. 110 octane.

Bounced between 26-27psi for a while on the stock motor with 93 and meth.


It ran 12.30's all day long at a funday sunday down here on a very basic tune by Hood. It didn't knock until I laid into it real hard from a roll one day and the meth couldn't keep up with the right foot. But it took about 8 months for it to do it. Broke the ring land in #3.

25psi on th pt67? on a stock block? hope you installed a filter before the turbo if it's a dbb. that thing will rip! i did 115mp on 15psi in the 1/4 mile

to me safe safe would be max 18 to 20psi on only c116 none of that alky crap etc and no leaner that 11.5 to 11.8 but thats just me.

I think "The Dunc" runs somewhere around 24-25psi. Taken that kind of beating for several years now. Ran the stock turbo down to an 11.94 or so.

Just as said above, it's the knock that kills the motor. Not the pressure.
