How should the block be preped?

Im about to take the engine block to the machine shop. What should I have them do besides .30 over, hot tank and magnaflux? Are 4 bolt mains a must of just a good idea. I am doing vortecs and most likly a te63. Much appreciated....ukau

If you are gonna be pushing it, 4 bolt mains are a good idea IMHO. It sounds like you are.

You'd need a line bore then as well.

might as well do the 4 bolt conversion it should only cost you about 600 more at the most
