Re: intercooler pump

Look for "Johnson" and/or "Shurflo" (careful if you google "Johnson" and "Pump"). Look in the vendors section (link to their sites), I know RPM has 'em, sure others do as well. Cheaper route may be checking local RV places, pay attention to size/flow/current draw specs.

Hopefully that'll get you started.

Re: intercooler pump

Awesome, thanks for the part number :) . There are so many different models for sale....do we just look for one with 2.8gpm flow and 3/4" in/outlets? ---

I'd try and stick with that part number. Lord knows it's been around forever. I "believe" all of them are 12V pumps, but if you can track down the part number I listed, you're guaranteed to have the right unit.

Re: intercooler pump

I'm looking very seriously into picking up those Cobalt hoses. They seem like they have the perfect bends to make it around the A/C box. I'm not too fond of the elbows I picked up at Autozone. They still bind up a little against the box.

Re: intercooler pump

Hi Foot,
I used the GM pump that is listed on the ZZPerformance website... I'm pretty sure it's the pump for the Cobalt... it flows a LOT of coolant and only draws 2.1 amps thru about 10 feet of hose - it's rated at 6.8gpm. I'm running it and a single Derale fan thru the factory wiring and it's just fine.

Yes, I found the Cobalt hoses just looking through the online parts locator at my local GMC dealer. I didn't know that they would work perfectly but thought it was worth ordering a couple to find out. I was really psyched when I got them... they solve a lot of routing problems, either on the IC itself, or down below on the CAC.

Mtn Z.... the Cobalt elbows are perfect for going around the stock AC box... couldn't ask for a better bend.

Re: intercooler pump

AHAHAHA what's up Mike! I was drilling through your site last night. Nice selection of stuff bro! If shipping wouldn't kill me from Cali I'd be buying a bunch of piping from you!
I may be doing a new braided fuel line system so I might slap an order together for you. I still try to "keep it in the family" when I do things.
