is my 9/11 locking up too soon?

just like it says- here's the problem:
Sometimes(haven't been able to discern any common element-i.e. cold, hot, etc.)when the trans holds 2nd till about 2800-3200 rpm the tcc seems to lock either right at on a split second before the 2-3 shift.I suppose it does happen alot more when the fluid's cold. Any temp it'll always shift clean and hard full throttle, but part throttle, like around town,it happens a decent amount. If I close the throttle right b-4 it shifts,it'll drop into third smoothly.if i don't and thefluid's below 120F-130F@the trans output, it'll shift so f'ng hard you'll think something broke. thank god for driveshaft loops.
i've read/heard that tcc lock up is controlled by a combination of factors through the ecm,but with the same stock chip/inj/turbo how does it happen that the tcc locks up so much sooner than b-4 the trans build? is this a mechanical adjustment that needs to be made or before I put my ultimate back in should I have the tcc mph raised like I've heard about?I'veheard of people raising it to 50/55mph, if I remembercorrectly. whenthis happens I think the shift to 3rd comes around 35-45 mph(whatever 3000 rpm in 2nd is).
Thanks for any input.

Oh yeah, could raising the tcc lock up mph possibly increase my trans temps around town where before the tcc would be locked? J

it is locking at the same time it always has but with the 9/11 its far more noticeable and therefore you might want to change it. you sometimes have this prob and sometime dont bc the lockup is load factored as far as when it happens. the harder you drive the longer it takes to lock,

excellent, thanks. yeah, it does lock like a m'fer. Is that (lockup)something that can be adjusted in the chip?
Thanks,
