I installed 50# injectors and chip that I got when I bought the truck. The truck won't start, it cranks but doesn't start. I cant find anyone who will make a custom chip. I was thinking of buying an ostrich setup, but don't know anyone that could help. I am started to get a little worried because I am signed up to run the truck in Pinks All Out in March, I realize that it coming very quick. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks in advance.

The trucks engine mods:

stock 4.3 v6

T-62 turbo with 3" down pipe and 3" stainless exaust

Turbosmart 38mm Hi-temp wastgate with dual boost controller

STG chip for stock injectors( had it on the dyno and the stock injector weren't supplying enough fuel to the motor, so I changed to 50#)

What kind of 50# chip is it? Got pics of it installed?

Running code 59 with 50# injectors suck!.....we had lots of trouble trying to tune with them.

Are you sure the chip is seated properly? Is the factory memcal piggybacked with it?

Its a phil long chip. I am not running code59. I will take pictures of it when I get home. I am pretty sure that it is installed correctly, I will check. I don't know if they are high impedance or not, is there a way to check. Thanks for your help.

Do you have a afpr?....my ty runs on stock injectors with a pte 60 and has plenty of fuel.

With such a short time left for pinks (two weeks) i would toss the stock injectors and chip back in.

Maybe search for a atr pitbull strip chip to run the stock injectors.

I would personally go with a ostrich and code 59. If you need help with it i can give a hand. Im not a pro at it yet but i can get it set up and now my way around a lil. I think there is some starter bins on code59.org. Order yourself some 65# injectors and your in like flint.

Do they make atr pitbull chips anymore? At this point in time I'm willing to do anything to get it running. Just a question, why do I need 65# injectors?

The 65's are easier to tune with. Alot more bins floating around for them also.

They dont make the atr chips anymore but theres some floating around out there still. it would also be nice if you could find a 50# ultimate chip too.

My vote goes for code59 though. Once you get the hang of it...it becomes fun...and yer truck goes faster and faster.

you need a ostrich. Go to moates.com. If you call craige moates he will set you up with everything you need to run code59. The adapter board, ribbon, ostrich and usb cable. Then get yourself a aldl cable. Download tunerprort....add the xdf and adx files.......download a starter bin from code59.org....load into ostrich and away you go to fine tuning.

It sounds overwhelming but its really not once you do it.

There are lots of great write ups on here for using code59 and the ostrich. Take a moment to search around and register on code59.org and read some of the tutorials.

Once you do go code59 you will never have to worry about someone burning you chips ever again.

Hurry up!...cant wait to meet ya in palm beach march 5th.

We were adjusting the fuel pressure, no i had stock injector with an ultimate chip and at 60# of fuel pressure it was still getting lean up in the higher RPM's when the boost starts to come in. That was only at 12lbs of boost.

I have been trying to get a hold of Michael Hood aka sytyguy, someone above told me that he burn chip. I sent him and email and a private message and no response. I have been debating on trailering it up to TurboTime in NC. There is a dyno close to my house and the owner has a t-type so maybe just maybe he might have experience with chips.

Oh I didn't mean to use a Buick chip, I was wondering because I think they are also ODB1, if the guy can burn chips and has experience with turbo cars.

Are there any shops in Miami that have a dyno and can burn chips?
