Lokar Flexible Oil Dipstick

[once again its on]

Anyon ever use the Lokar stuff? Looking at their flexible oil dipstick......can we use the one off the later SBC's?

Any other companies out there? My extra bent tube is not happy with the ATR headers and nifty WG setup.....

This is the response I got from Lokar-

"The SBC dipstick is ED-5001 will fit your 92 4.3 V-6."

About $43 from Summit.....hell what's another $43!!!??!!??

Is the dipstick reach on a SBC the same as our 4.3's with the 4WD pan?

You might find that the dipstick doesn't reach far enough into the pan to measure the oil level correctly.

Just thinkin' out loud.

i just got the dipstick and tube for the 96+ 4.3 motors, bolts right up using the mount location on the head. I did have to use a tube bender a bit to get the curve to clear headers and the no 4 plug but fits perfect now

i bought the lokar dipstick and it is a little too wide in diameter to fit in our blocks. maybe mine just doesnt want to get in here but i hd a hell of atime trying. i think im gna drill the hole out wider.

To bad, It sure would look nice.
But just looking at how long our dipsticks are I had a feeling it wouldn't work.
