Wondering if anyone has any experience with this, and where I might be able to get one??

Heres my deal. Im in the process of plumbing my ATR Aux intercooler kit, when I find the lower CCHE has taken a shot to the petcock. It isnt leaking, but the metal is definitly fatigued. I have a thought of replacing it with a unit like the one above, but dont know if its worth the hassle or not.

Can I expect to see any additonal advantages from a unit like that, or am I wasting my money?

I dont see where I can find one of these either

Any help is greatly appreciated as always!!

thats the one that was made by tony dequick before he disappeared. it's not a bad upgrade but it's not going to lower your temps. it will only serve to lower the time between runs.

IMO - You are wasting money unless you are buying an air to air intercooler.

So with that in mind, is the RPM set-up the way to go?

I'd say go with the RPM, because many are using it with sucess, but I also wonder about the max HP rating.

The RPM setup is rated for up to 600HP, not sure what can be done if your goals exceed that.... but I have heard that its a great core.

I'm looking for 600-700HP in my build for the ty.

I've used the KB, RPM and Mccoy and I have to say the Mccoy is largest and seems to work better esp with larger turbos. If you'r not goin bigger than a 72 turbo then you should be fine with either rpm or kb. with the KB being the smallest of them all.

I do not like rpm's bc it doesnt come with a scoop. you have to make your own and you have to cut the fender out, but then the Mccoy uses elec fans too. to each his own but I think the mccoy is slightly better for bigger builds.

Im not planning on anything real radical, high 11's would be the goal. Is the stock set-up with the ATR Aux adequate for a high 11 sec truck?
This is my first time actually going beyond a basically stock SyTy, so please bare with me! :-?

ppl have gone high 11's with the stock setup with atr aux cooler but it is prob the limit if not slightly beyond. you will see some high mats after half track
