McCoy A2A IC

I've tried the search feature, but can find no information whether or not the McCoy IC requires the stock turbo to be clocked, or if it requires an external wastegate, or any information about it. Will it bolt straight up to an otherwise stock Syclone?
I know the RPM/ CAS unit requires cutting, and the turbo to be clocked (search feature) & an external wastegate..
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

yep the mccoy system requires the turbo to be re-clocked downward and to the right a bit, similar to the RPM unit. But, clocking the stock style turbo won't work with the internal wastegate, since the mounting holes for the actuator get moved around. An external wastegate would work. but you would probably be better off just upgrading the turbo before getting the A2A intercooler anyway.

Is there any A2A IC that doesn't require the turbo to be clocked? I want to use an A2A IC just to avoid the potential hassles of the IC motor going out, and keep the truck as stock as possible..

I understand wanting to replace inadequate or failure-prone stock parts, but I think this is a bit excessive. In the stock setup, the IC pump doesn't even turn on until it's already extremely overheated. I don't think the IC pump going out is going to be much worse, honestly. If you put in a Jabsco, the motor and impeller aren't directly connected, so a jam won't burn up the motor either. Just splice the GM connector onto the Jabsco, and it's completely plug 'n' play. The new Johnson one is supposed to be a direct replacement too.

Summary: The IC pump going out isn't that big a deal. You can get several upgraded pumps that are a drop-in, if you're that worried.

I guess I'm just overly worried then, I just had the engine rebuilt (rod bearings were fried), and I'm trying to avoid any potential future problem, while making gains at the same time..

the original kenne bell a2a would work without clocking bc they had that crazy pipe work...
