No good shots of the damage repair from far away yet, but I got some shots of the repainted cladding and some miscellaneous stuff.

Damn Tooky I see you got a camera, your collection looks alot like mine, I just started getting GN stuff, I have some dealer posters and just the revvel model, and I have all the sy models and die cast,
almost all the sy magazine articles and entry forms for the marbroro Sy's and some others like the 93 dealer brochure for the 92 clone

Which Revell model? There are at least 4. First is the 1989 issue where the GN is smoking the tires, leaving a Corvette, and it says US Fastest Production Car 1987. GM got pissed and there was a reissue in 1991 with a much more plain cover design. I have only seen that one on eBay ONCE. Then there is the 1998 issue of the GN again with a very plain cover. That one is in my upper left corner of the picture. And of course there was the GNX model (that's the 4 total).

No I have one of each except this 1:24 Ferrari F40 model I got two of by accident. However I do regularly pass up great deals on Turbo Buick models on eBay simply because I have them!! Especially in the last week, I have seen some auctions close at very low prices. Some even in single digits, with little or no bids. OTOH I have seen some models go for very high amounts, like a TTA model that went for $70+ and a Revell Syclone that went for over 30. The very same models that go for less than half that normally! I don't have an explanation. If you want specific auction links to specific models, let me know.

These trucks are cursed
josh, after having my cladding repainted a second time since it wasnt done right the first time, mine now looks exactly like yours, less the syclone decals. IMO i think the shiney stock look, looks better than painting it the same high gloss as the rest of the truck. did they say how they painted it? i had mine painted the same color as my truck but with 50% gloss. mine came out very nice, except for a shit load of flaws and runs, cuz the coke addicts at this shop cant do their effing job right. its amazing, every other car ive seen come out of this shop is amazing, but mine they just cant seem to do right. ill post pics of mine, once i get it back from the shop for the 3rd time!

Yes yes yes!! I have nothing against those who paint over their cladding with gloss paint (and the Typhoons that came that way) but I just REALLY love the smooth satin look.

Well first they did a test paint on my broken wheel arch after I stressed the importance of the dull matte finish, and that looked really good except after sleeping on it, I realized it was TOO dull. So I said "Turn up the gloss by just one notch!" This they did, and it was perfect!. I know he added flex agent and adhesion promotor but other than that I don't know the details (I could probably get them if it's critical). He said the original paint was lacquer which is prone to fading and also now illegal to use so that wasn't even an option. He said the current thing is enamel which is better and virtually fade-resistant compared to the old stuff, on top of being legal.
Then mine came out very nice, except for a shit load of flaws and runs, cuz the coke addicts at this shop cant do their effing job right. its amazing, every other car ive seen come out of this shop is amazing, but mine they just cant seem to do right. ill post pics of mine, once i get it back from the shop for the 3rd time!
Well I definitely sympathize with you and wish your streak of terrible luck would come to an end!!! I only had 1 run in my paint and it is very small and on the edge of a piece of cladding. I can't wait to see your pictures! The only pics I've seen of your Sy is the original one with all the Billet pieces and then the one below.

Can you get the paint code/mix for the cladding. Would like to do mine the same way. Plans are for it to be in the shop about the same time as the Nats.

Looks good Josh. The Tys did come with a little bit different cladding finish than the Sys, but it is still different than the rest of the body. Kinda looks like a gel coat finish and its smooth with no texture.

3.1L V6 (191 ci), a little over 200 HP, I think. I test drove one a few months ago. I think it would make a fun daily driver.

I've driven the turbo Grand Ams, but never knew they made a turbo Gran Prix. What engine does it have?
How are the turbo Grand Ams? I badly want to know. Thanks!

Turbo Grand Ams are ok. About like a turbo sunbird. They have a 1.8 or 2.0L 4cyl SOHC engine with turbo and no intercooler. Would run with a good running Quad4
