Hows the voltage look with the new battery? I'm sure you'll find more little problems along the way to perfection :tup: Still keeping her at about 10 psi right now? I would leave it like that for a while until you know everything is perfect....tranny/valvetrain/etc.... I bet that thing pulls like a beast!

Its nice to have them off jack stands, huh Gary. Just take your time and bring the boost nice and slow 1 psi at a time. Im only up to 19 psi with race gas 15 with pump. Its funny how all the little problems come out during this period. I had exhaust leaks, Blew a few vacume caps off, leaky trans pan gasket, upper ic pipe flew off at 19psi and all kinds off strange noises, but somtimes thats just paranoia screwing with your fun. I too love the trans it shifts hard and much faster than the 700. Now if i can figure out how to change shift points with my big stuff system im in business, Good luck

Gary - looking good, hope you figure out what that noise is. I will have my truck done this Saturday, maybe we can meet up soon and talk shop. Can't wait to wash this dusty beast and drive it again. Dreading the SMOG check coming up...it's giving me nightmares, damn.

Voltage is a lot higher at idle. Starts quicker and runs richer?? I had an exhaust leak too. Few minor problems so far but nothing big... Yet. I have yet to drive it with the new battery. Today I go for a smog check..... WISH ME LUCK!
I will be out of town saturday and picking up that Sy on sunday morning but sunday after 3pm I should be home. ANyone is welcome to come by and see 2 Sy's in my driveway.LOL

still waiting on my new ps pump. So I decited to wrap my a2a pipe. It was getting warm from the turbo and DP. Does not look as good as the polished pipe but it should help with my temps.

Its actualy comming out of it. I have yet to splice it into the compressor. Its for the volvo fan.

This is one of the best threads I've ever seen on SyTy.net. All the photos are fantastic! This project has given me so much motivation I'm going to tear my truck apart this week to start my vortec intake conversion. Thanks Gary, and your engine looks sweet as hell. I'm definitely going to paint my A/C and PS/ALT brackets the same as yours. But how did you get your black pulleys to look so mint?

3 of the pulleys are new. The other ones I just sanded, and painted with engine paint.

Sorry to bring this thread back from so long ago... But, since I bought this truck the only thing i put in it was a digital 6AL. Today it had a tuning/dyno appointment. The tune is far from finished but it did make 300hp/470ftlbs . More boost and timing to come.
