no cutting? interesting. I just mounted mine a few days ago and will need to shave off about 1/8".

The caps go on, but you can see that its pushing on the axle.

yeah, its actually barely touching. I can feel it as I snap the caps in...I didn't want to risk voiding my "lifetime warranty" axles if I were to cut 'em.... :D

what about notching your A-arms?

I swear that when I cranked it all the way(once) full right it didn't touch? But then again I've been real careful trying to avoid it....gonna try again...

lavaman, i was thinking about putting the exact same rims on my 92 all blk typhoon and i was curious to where you picked your rims up? and also do i need the spacers? i was about to buy the rims last year but then many things went completely drastic but now its all good and im almost back in the market. please tell me a little about them. thanks.

ug. might have to sell mine soon if everyone starts getting them....already looking at another custom set :)

You get the rims from Jim Longwidth.

His screen name is 0-60N4, you can email or PM him for prices and availablity.

blems

blems

I kinda lucked-out and got mine from a friend who didn't want 'em to go on his Camaro because they're blems  ...can hardly tell but you can see if ya look REAL close. paid him $750 w/OUT tires.

I'd recommend getting 'em from Jim Longwith instead of risking your $$ on blems from anywhere else.[/b]

your not copying anyone....no one would be mad if you got them...if you like them, get them :)

i just prefer to not have what alot of everyone else may have....sorta like the ZR1 craze...they are sweet, but not my first choice.

havent seen to many Z06-Rs, so im good for now and couldnt be happier doing business with Jim. :)

yeah, I tested the clearances alrighty  , the rims do make intimate contact with the upper control arms

that doesnt sound good the way you worded it.....

that was the first thing I tested when I got the rims on... the CV axles I already knew didnt fit.... and the 17x9.5 are famous for hitting the upper a-arm.

I had about 1/4" of clearance, which was fine with me...i dont plan on doing a full turn at any speed higher than 10mph :)

yeah but the faster you travel when cranked full lock, the nicer the finish you'll get on the edge of the rim!! :D
