yeah take the gauge cluster out. remove the plastic and move the needle by hand. i had to do it to mine and it has been fine ever since

there was a post a few years ago... i think it was tookycat that had the same problem and made his own 'needle stopper' by using a small nail and painting it black... came out pretty good... my needle has also done the loop de loop, good to know im not the only one too lazy to fix it :tup:

Finally it hit you too - LOL
Just turn it back, if you want remove the needle stop at the bottom; pull it simply out, you don't need.
Or break a small pin, take a lighter and heat it up and CAREFULLY put it as needle stop on top (worked for me for years).

yea the same thing happened to me all the time. I got tired of taking the cluster out so the last time i just removed the needle stopper and its been great. the a/c controls suck to get out but thats they way it goes with these trucks. got to love em
