Welcome, I spent 3 years living in Bellingham on Yew Street during my college days. Loved that town for sure.

That thing is clean. I vote no selling and continue to be a stoplight bruiser.

Meats and seats...very nice!

Remind me of Porsche 928/944 seats.

Sharp truck. And the seats look great.
You solved one of the big complaints about these trucks with the seat swap, but hope you don't have regret if you sell.
My 72 year old father just finished his hotrod, which has been in the works for 15 years, and he loves it. It rides rough as hell, and with her back problems, mom can't ride in it for too long. His stable is full of impractical vehicles, but he has no regrets.:2cents:

Re: Old Timer's Ty Story

I have gone to the area where I post that I want to sell my truck, but it says I need 25 posts before I can start a new thread there. I can't think of 13 more things to say, so I guess I have to go to Auto Trader. Any suggestions?

how about I just move this thread to the FS section, since it has basically been just that since you started it.

Clean is not the word. That thing is immaculate! The cladding is freaky glossy. You should be proud to own such a rare gem. If you don't want it, I'll take it.

The seats are like new but the hoses to the lumbar support fell apart. Any help regarding the value of the Ty and these other things is appreciated. I was thinking $10K for the truck, $600 for the seats and $200 for the CD Player/radio.

I've looked at the archives and seen some nice rides that have been sold for low prices recently. Since I really have to sell, I figure that I need to make the price as attractive as the truck. I'd accept $9,800. Note that I am asking less than what I have in the tires, wheels, disc brakes seats and stereo. The truck is almost free.

Wow. My timing is off, for sure. You are likely to get a real offer within a week and it will be October 1st before I could consider making one.

Best wishes regardless, from another nearly old-timer! I'll be watching to see what happens!

I sold my Ty this morning. Sorry to see it go, but the new owner looked happy.
