Looks nice - you should also set up a tow hook version in case you want to take the truck out on a road course.

I like that idea and will probably do so in the future. For now though I'm focusing 100% on getting this cladding done..

I FINALLY have made all of the parts that I need. At this point I just need to modify/combine some 2-door parts to make my custom 4-door pieces..

Things are moving along.. That rocker will be all one piece when I am done. I am going to glass the two halves together on the back side then body-work, finish, and paint the front.

The dark area you see in front of the rear wheel is my ghetto mold. Its holding everything in position and will be used to make the custom piece of cladding for the rear door.

I though the cladding would make the rear look lower than it does. I may have to look into lowering the rear another inch or so...

The rear arch obviously gets cut where the rear door opens and I'll finish all of that so that they look like stock parts...

Nothing like cutting up two perfectly good rockers.....

I probably won't reproduce a 4-door kit.. I kinda like the idea of having the only one.

Have you done anything with that truck? I remember reading about it back when you first got it.. Very cool build..

Ahh, bummer, but I hear ya! I drove it for a bit when I first got it, but it was a dog outta the hole, so I threw a different stall in it but now I got a vibration in the driveline that I didn't have before so trans has to come back out to see whats goin on. Other than that, no I haven't really done anything with it yet. Its definitely quick though! :)

Re: Photoshopped picture?

I've been crazy busy lately so progress has been slow..

This is the little chunk of the rear door cladding that I will use my "ghetto mold" to reproduce...

This is that same shot with the ghetto mold in place:

Here are some pics of my really long rocker glassed together. I haven't body worked and painted the front side yet, just glassed together the back..

This is the right hand rocker getting ready to be glassed. I used these cool little welding clamps to hold everything true. Then I glass a couple spots in the back, let it harden, remove the clamps, then glass the rest..

I almost forgot to mention.. The rear arch has been glassed to the rear corners. Before this all gets painted I will body work the front of those parts and that seam will be no longer..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

Its been a long time since I updated but I have some nice eye-candy this time.. This cladding is not done and it still needs to be final body-worked and painted.. However its all hanging on here and gives you a good idea what it will look like...

Re: Photoshopped picture?

Out of curiosity, can you open the back doors without having the front doors open? I'm wondering if the back door cladding would hit the front door cladding when opened. (Sorry if this has been asked already and I missed it)

It hits.. I'm going to taper the rear door cladding so that it clears. I prefer the way it looks now and would like to leave it that way but my kids would forget and break the cladding in no time..

Re: Photoshopped picture?

Matt, would you mind elaborating a bit more on your 80e swap? You mentioned you had to cut down and weld the shift shaft. Did you flush the trans and rebuild it or just use it straight out of the junkyard?

Thanks!
