Please help! Transmission problems

I just changed the plugs out on my truck took it for a test drive everything was goin great. Went WOT from a dead stop but no boost launch going great then all of a sudden engine starts just reving. Engine is still fine just transmission. 1st 2nd D and OD went out only reverse, had to drive it home in reverse. Is the whole transmission gone or maybe just the torque converter? Any suggestions?

Get out the jack stands, trans is toast, not the converter.you most likely have some broken hard parts in the trans....

Damn, sorry to hear that. Better a trans than an engine though.

Suggest new trans cooler lines and possible radiator coolers flushed for any metallic parts.

I wiped out my trans. Something inside went. I have not had the time to rip it down and see what happened. Some one came by and passed a comment like you got a new radiator right? And I was like NO.. They had brought it to my attention that the lines and cooler could have metallic wear inside as well. Something some one suggested me.something to think about. There response was there what 100 bucks.. I just looked back and said.. Its the original.

Thanks for the great advice. I'll defiantly flush all that out, wouldn't have thought about it.

No problem that's why I shared. I would have spent $2000+ and probably would have burned it out in no time not considering that.

Let us know what type of kit or rebuild you end up going with... I was pointed in a few directions for rebuilds but was never really sure what to go with or a really good kit that works well with out trucks.
