Popping noise

Every now and then my truck makes a loud popping noise when I turn the wheel at slow speeds. It usually does it when I'm backing up. It only pops once (not a continuous popping). Does anyone know what this is? Maybe a torsion bar mount?

I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately after a few months of not even visiting the site, but I want to get my truck running right and you guys know more about our trucks than anyone else. I just wanted to say that I appreciate your help.

I've also seen a sticking brake caliper release while backing. It makes a pretty good pop.

I'd definately check the obvious first. The torsion bar mount would be my first guess. Pretty easy to check. Most bad CV axles are not gonna pop every once in a while. A bad torsion bar mount would pop really good especially on a bumpy road, even while going straight.

I had my truck pop backing up, turning into places and under hard accl. , I just had to rebuild my front diff and found that the diff bushingswere worn out, after the rebuild no pop.
Thanks, Matthew 92 ty #0194
